Kemba Walker - the American version of Tony Parker

Everyone keeps on bagging on Kemba Walker like his too small and not a capable player.

Yes his jumper needs to improve but he shapes up to the the tough, American version of Tony Parker.

He has the quickness to get into the lane at well and the ability to finish around the hoop against bigger players.

He also is capable generating good looks for his teammates based on his penetration ability.

In addition Kemba has proven he knows how to hit game winning shots, and work off the ball around screens.

When did we decide Kemba wasn't a good player?

I think this is a great comparison. I don't think Kemba is end to end as fast as the adulterer, but as far as weaving by guys to get into the lane, I can totally see it. rep'd

He is amazing, draft him! But draft Burks and Jimmer first.

I've been saying how calm Kemba is when the team needs him to be. I think he'd make a great floor leader. Knight is more of an impact scorer, same with Jimmer.

Another great thing about Kemba, which I love, is how he's really good at initiating contact with the bigs in the paint. He bodies into them, draws the foul and still finishes with his quick double-pumps. The kid is strong and has a solid build that can take punishment. Although, I have to say that Knight has looked bigger since college and Jimmer looks a bit more cut than he was.

I'm sure many of us will follow their careers to see how our guesses, on how good they'd be, turn out.

Tony Parker? Not quite... Parker is bigger as I remember.

Maybe Ty Lawson would be a better comparison?

Parker is listed as 6'2" and 185 lbs. Walker measured 6'1" and 184 lbs. Lawson was measured as 6'0.5" and 197 lbs. Unless Tony has very long arms Walker and he are very similar size. Lawson is a little short but thicker.

I like Kemba a lot. I really hope we luck out and he is there at 12. Imo he's the 2nd best pg in the draft.

I'm on record as saying I'd pick Kemba, given a choice between those two. But I wouldn't be sad at all with Jimmer at #12.

By the way, Favors Flave, I dug up my "patented Colton offseason plan" post, which I said was pretty darn close to your own offseason wish list in your sig file.

We're nearly in lock-step with each other. We only differ in BPA at #12. Of the guys on your list, I'd order them like this: Biyombo*, Burks, Jimmer, Hamilton, Klay Thompson, Donatas, Singleton (with some uncertainty in how I'd rank Hamilton, Thompson, and Donatas).

* edit: assuming of course the Biyombo back situation isn't too grave. Without knowing any details that's impossible to judge.

Ha ha thats awesome. If I would re-do the BPA I would go Biyombo, Burks, Hamilton, Jimmer, Singleton, Klay, Donatas
