Kevin Pelton Thinks George Hill Will Get $20 Million in FA

1)The Jazz do have the finances to to accommodate a core with Hill in it.

2)The Jazz would regress without Hill. Hayward would only need to look back to the previous season to believe that would be the case.

Why would we regress? Hill himself is setup to regress from his age.

The Jazz are better this year and Hill has certainly helped, but he isnt the only reason. Every single player on the team has improved. Every player should continue to improve next year, especially guys like Exum and Lyles. We are going to be a better team next year than this year, regardless of Hill's decision (assuming everyone else stays).

I think we would regress but what I think doesn't matter.

"He's been unbelievably tough both offensively and defensively," Hayward said. "He's long and active on the ball. And on the offense, it seems like he's always going at his pace. He's controlling the game for us and he definitely won the game for us in a couple of games early on."
Hayward said he was "ecstatic" when Utah acquired Hill. Had this move happened a year earlier, it almost surely would have made the playoffs.

Not really. Hill has an old mans game. I think his game will age well...he can still shoot, still has size to defend.

I think if we can't get a renegotiate and extend done then we likely can't make the money line up to keep him.
