Kings sign Aaron Brooks - Jimmer on way out?

I am a realist. I understand the hurdles the white players from BYU have to face, and how hard it is for BYU haters to support anyone from BYU, even if they are obviously in the top 25% of the league talent wise. It's too bad Sacramento sucks and don't just let him shoot. They should keep cousins, and get rid of all of the other black holes on the team. You can tell by Jimmer's sweet stroke that he is a better shooter than anyone else on the team. Maybe they are bringing in Brooks to feed Jimmer at the 2, but I don't expect them to be that smart. All you haters should chill out and give Jimmer a little room to grow instead of smothering him with your hatebreath. He has stardom in him, and in a few years you will be wishing he was on the Jazz.

What's this saying he could barely get to the rim garbage? Who cares about the rim if you can make the shot.

Even if you are so misguided into thinking he can only shoot, do we really have anyone on our team that can shoot? Do we have anyone that if we get them an open 3 everyone is thinking, dang... that is going in?

I love this ****. To have "haters", you have to care. No one outside of Utah gives a rats *** about BYU.

They waived Whiteside, really? I warned he was WAY over-hyped prior to the '11 draft, but I'd be shocked if he just can't play.

I also was against Jimmer, but anyone saying he can't play/shoot is just being a hater. I thought he was laughable as a top 10 (and some were saying take him at 3 .. yikes), but I am sure he can play a 7th or 8th man role quite well.

Agreed. I think Jimmer can be reasonably to highly effective off the bench. He is just not a quality starting PG.

I wonder if this reflects plans by Sac to move Jimmer to off guard? I think that's his best position in the NBA, albeit a bit undersized.

He was? KOC is all about throwing smokescreens. He also talked up Brandon Knight and had just about everyone convinced Knight was going to be the pick. I actually think KOC would have had a very difficult choice if Fredette had still been on the board. May have taken Jimmer just to avoid the riot that would have broken out at the ESA. I think KOC was targeting Thompson or Burks all along with the 12th pick. Thank heavens Sacramento bought into Jimmermania. Just imagine how many would now be calling for KOC's head on a pike if he had taken Fredette. Or worse, traded up to #8 by sacrificing a future pick.

"To be honest with you, we had Walker, Knight and Fredette rated higher on our board than No. 12," O'Connor said. "We had a lot of offers on the table at 12, but we're very comfortable with how it turned out."

Someone will have to find a link about KOC saying he wanted to draft Jimmer. I never heard that nor that he was trying to position to draft him. KOC is always polite and complimentary talking about him but what is new. I seriously doubt the Jazz take Jimmer over Burks if they were both still on the board. And I am amazed that anyone can think Jimmer is an upgrade at this point over Watson or Tinsley. Those two are both serviceable back ups. Jimmer may become that and I would not be surprised to see him become a Jason Terry type guy. Based upon last year - no where close. Again, his coach admittted he was not sure he could make Jimmer a NBA PG and JF struggled to get minutes on a bad team with a rookie playing in front of him. It is not coincidence that Kings signed Brooks.

Leading up to the draft, it was thought that Utah would pursue one of the top point guards — Kentucky's Brandon Knight, UConn's Kemba Walker or Fredette. When news broke before the draft of a three-team trade between Charlotte, Milwaukee and Sacramento, the Jazz were reportedly making calls in an attempt to move up and presumably take Fredette.

You responded. Is it because you love BYU? Great to have you, we welcome all bandwagoners and Utah fans.
Oh, sorry to be redundant, but I work for the department of redundancy department.
