Kings Trade Cousins to the Pelicans

LOL at the Kings for getting almost nothing for him. Buddy MIGHT turn out to be a good player, but DMC is a Top 10-15 player right now.

Davis and Cousins together. That's lethal.

Chances it's a train wreck?

Say what you will about the Kings trading away Cousins, but what if Divac had a heart to heart chat with Cousins and Cousins straight up said "I can't give you any guarantees about re-signing"?

This is a classic game of chicken... the same thing happened when KOC traded away DWill.

Apparently Galloway is expected to be waived by the Kings.

Even though Collison and Lawson expire I guess they figure one's gonna be back.

He played 82 games for the Nix last season and he's already made way more 3's this year.. Galloway turns 26 in December he;s got a 5.5MM player option for next season tho.. Glad he's getting paid either way.. was a damn good UDFA find.

The word was Cousins isn't gonna resign with anyone and will test the waters..

Cousins is going to be one of those guys simply getting rid of him will improve their franchise.

Nope. This was a terrible trade for the Kings. That team sucks because of bad management, not because of Cousins. If they wanted to improve the franchise, should have traded their owner and kept boogie. Dude is going to be a beast when he's on a winning team and all the head case talk will prove to have been overblown.

When all is said and done, there won't be a GM in this league that doesn't wish they would have taken this gamble. It is a gamble to re-sign him though, which is why I believe they had to sell so low. If they can't re-sign him, this will have been a bad move.
