Lakers land D12

That would surprise me. Where does he want to be? LAL are always going to be right there ..

There have been reports of him going back and forth on whether or not he would want to play in LA. Dunno why, but yeah.

I've seen that, but once he's there, I'm not sure where else would be a better fit .. aside from SLC, obviously.

This Lakers team could be real fun to watch. Nash running the point, Kobe's shooting, Artest's elbows, Gasol and his passing ability, and Dwight's ability to dunk (and miss FTs). Lob City is now purple and gold. Forget CP3 and Griffin. It's all about Nash and Howard.

Questions about age and injury are still relevant. As is Brown's ability to create an offense. Although, I'm sure Nash could give him a few lessons...

The rich get richer. LA is LA. They're not afraid to eat up big contracts and players will always want to play there.

How horrible is Orlando going to be next year?

One thing that helped us a lot last year was that the Lakers didn't have a PG and Bynum refused to play defense against us. I remember our bigs had no problem scoring inside. Millsap went in for easy layup after easy layup. We also pounded them on the glass. Not anymore...

We no longer have an advantage against them at the point and Howard is going to own Jefferson down low, shut down Millsap, eat Kanter, and basically neutralize Favor's athletic ability. That frontline of Bynum, Gasol, Hill, and Jamison is big and talented.

this Lakers team is probably the most loaded team since the 04 one. Unfortunately, Howard is much younger than Malone or Payton...

I think it's pretty safe to say that we're going to see Miami vs LA in the finals.

Random impulsive thoughts about the trade:

How is this a better trade then the one the Nets offered? Wow, Orlando got fleeced!

Lakers vs. Heat next year looks like a lock... Stern will get his Kobe vs. Lebron finals.

Dwight is going to stay with the Lakers too. If there is one thing I've learned about Dwight during this whole process is how impressionable and immature he is. The Lakers will draw him towards the dark side.

How bad is Dwight's back... the Lakers got him for cheap, and the Magic agreed to send him out for cheap. The only way the trade isn't cheap is if Dwight is not at 100 percent. <---- This is one of Utah's best hopes I think, however, I refuse to wish a prolonged injury on any bball player.

In the end, the average NBA fan loses because of this deal. I for one am not too far from boycotting the NBA altogether. I am tired of the players and the league as a whole. I think my time and money could be better spent elsewhere.

Howard to Lakers without Lakers having to give up Gasol... sounds legit.

I have said this countless times, however...

Possibly horrible enough to land Shabazz or Noel. At least, that should definitely be their strategy.

Oh well. Kobe, Nash, Artest and Gasol aren't too far from AARP memberships so by the time we can truly compete (a couple years), their window should be closed.
