That is a misleading statistic being that more people live where lightning occurs (basically everywhere) than where sharks live.

Again, my point is that both causes of death are very rare but death by lightning is way way more likely. Shark attacks are overrated by media and movies when in fact they are quite rare. In last 56 years there were 35 fatal shark attacks in USA while on average you have 51 death by lightning per year!
