Las Vegas' Take on the Jazz

Based on the Vegas over/under figures, the lottery teams and pre-lottery order will be:
  • 1: Philadephia 16.5 wins
  • 2: Phoenix 19.5
  • 3: Orlando 23
  • 4: Utah 25
  • 5: Charlotte 27
  • 6: Boston 28
  • 7: Milwaukee 29.5
  • 8: Sacramento 32
  • 9: LA Lakers 34.5
  • 10: Toronto 37.5
  • 11: Portland 39
  • 12: Cleveland 39.5
  • 13: New Orleans
  • 14: Minnesota 41.5
If that's how it turns out, the Jazz go into the lottery as the 4th seed and even in a complete catastrophe can't end up worse than the #7 pick.

Of course there are 1,227 games left before we see if that's really how it happens.

Thoughts?

That is not overly bad. I think the Jazz are capable of winning a few more games than that. Over all a fair assesment as it is for betting purposes.

I think the Jazz will struggle mightily out of the gate. The injuries and inexperience in re closing out a basketball game will lead to some losses but after the all-star break, I think there is a great chance we are fairly formidable. So, I think we end up slotted somewhere around the #8 pick before the lottery. teams that will be worse are as follows:
Suns
Kings
76ers
Celtics (they will trade there way to the Wiggins sweepstakes)
Raptors
Magic
Bobcats

I think our home court advantage (atmosphere, energy, Altitude) and our culture will propel us to being about the 8th worst team in the league.

If this is true how does this affect who we get in the draft? I dont know **** about college players.

It would increase our chances of a top 5 pick and even more important the #1 pick. This is a very good draft and the top 4-5 guys should all excell in the NBA game. Especially Wiggins at #1. From everything I read he will be a franchise changer.

Well, they are saying there is about 7 players in this upcoming draft that could all be stars and 3 or 4 of those 7 could be superstars so if we end up being the 8th worst team in the league, lets hope and pray that the lottery will yield us a top 3 pick.

Really hope this is true. I would like to get Jabari Parker on this team.

Also, please please please let Minny sneak into the playoffs in front of Golden State!

I'd rather the Lakers do that. As it removes them from the lottery as well and I hate the Lakers and am indifferent to Minny.

Would be about as good as we can hope for... My guess is that Bogut and Curry's health will pave the way for this if it does happen.

true. I don't really care who it is, as long as GSW is in the lotto. But if the Lakers get like 13th in the lotto and win, I will probably murder someone.

They have both had recent injuries that seem to continue bothering them. If Bogut and Curry go down that drastically changes that teams direction for the year.

If that happens give me a call and I will help you murder someone.

Seems about right. Below .500 record at home (I'm thinking we get about 40% of our home games) and we will probably win about 20% of our road games.

.

I could bet you about anything that Raptors will have better record then Jazz.
