I would go into the forest with you anytime Maggie....(i like the freaky ones).

This latest Run the Jewels album is really, really, really well-done. I hate to jump to conclusions too early after a release but this has alot of the fingerprints of a 5-star album. (been rating albums on the 5-star system since my early teenage years and I'm very particular bout the 5-stars..)

This was probably the best song on any 'rap' release in 2016, will be interesting to see how these December albums/songs stack up. Childish Gambino drops tonight, J. Cole and Mos Def next week and then Kid Cudi the week after

Only like 2 curses but I'll post the clean version to be safe.

This track took the title in the 11th hour, just days before the end of the year. Here's the clean version

this is also the intro track, which stacks up vs many of the GOAT intro's/1st tracks in rap IMO, up there with Blaq Poet's "I-Gititin" (a personal favorite of mine) and Jay-Z on the Dynasty; Roc La Familia intro(and the Ruler's back), Jeezy's Thug Motivation 101(and the recession intro), Common's "Be" Cunninlynguists "Lynguistics" and OFC Ludacris' Southern Fried Intro, DMX's 'It's dark and hell is hot intro', Cam'ron's Killa Cam intro and the Clipse intro on Lord Willin' and Nas' Stillmatic, J. Cole's too deep for the intro, Re-up gang Vol 3 Intro, CNN- War Report and GZA's Liquid Swords intro., T.I.'s Tha King, Big L's The big picture, Cormega's Dramatic Entrance... to name a few :P

Here's the (1st) verse;

[Killer Mike:]
I hope (I hope)
I hope with the highest of hopes
That I never have to go back to the trap
And my days of dealing with dope
So I, I only spit fire and dope
So later on you can go quote
My lines to your people and folk
And they say damn (damn)
That boy be spitting that pressure (pressure)
And he be smoking that pressure (pressure)
And he smart as a professor (yessir)
25 lighters on dresser, pound of that pressure
Sittin right next to (next to)
Next to a book and a gun
Ballot or bullet, you better use one
One time for the freedom of speeches (speech)
Two time for the right to hold heaters (heaters)
Just give to the fifth and the cops in the house
Close your mouth and pray to your Jesus
Ask why cause the Devil a lie (lie)
So I stay holy and high (high)
May never get rich, but I never bitch
'Cause I made it here by and by

(Pt 1 - ends at 3:40)
Common's 2005 album 'Be' is one of the best rap albums from the 2000's, I replay it more than most. This is a J Dilla beat.

Damn Spoon is so good. They've been putting out good music for so long now.

We are lucky to have this band. Real musicians. Britt Daniel is a stud.
