Last Nights Officiating

At the game last night they replayed every foul on the massive Jumbotron, which they rarely used to do. Did you guys who watched on TV think that the refs got a ton of calls wrong for both sides but especially the Jazz? I'm not the type to normally worry about officiating but it seemed like last night there were really a ton of bad calls. Am I wrong?

The refs gave Alec Burks at least 10 free throws that were closer to an offensive foul if anything.

Booker should've been called for a foul on the play Meyers Leonard got injured, he didn't give him any space to land and I kinda think he did it on purpose.. That was the only thing I thought was bad, I don't complain about the refs much though. It is what it is -- Human error

Yeah, I saw several fouls that went against the Blazers that just were not fouls, not even close really. I can't remember specifically but I'm sure Alec was one of the main beneficiaries. At the time it seemed like most of the bad calls were against the Jazz but in looking at the board the number of personal fouls didn't look too lopsided. I seriously can't remember a game in 35 years of watching the NBA where it seemed to me the refs got so many calls wrong. At least the refs looked very uncomfortable about their calls, like no confidence that they got the calls right...but they kept on calling them.

I don't think it was dirty. Just over aggressive.

To me dirty means he meant to hurt him and I don't think he did.

What kind of blame is this? LIBEL for such a slander!

So because one player did something to hurt someone all players are that way?

Get out of here with that terrible logic. Should have been a foul IMO but it wasn't dirty.

I never implied that.. I just thought that was the most egregious missed call of the night.. that's all.. If someone did that to Hayward there'd be 50 posts here about it..

It's particularly dirty IMO, because the offensive player is helpless and just doing their job.. Also it's easy to fake like it was an accident..

We simply disagree. But that's ok.

Foul? Yes. Dirty? Not even remotely.

Wow, that looked very dirty to me.

The refs were pretty bad last night. It wasn't really one sided though. There were stretches with lots of make up calls each way. The refs are probably just getting back into the swing of things too.

In basically every game this season the Jazz have been the less aggressive team. When that happens you usually don't get calls.

It looked pretty damn dirty. I didn't notice it on 1st take, but damn, that was dirty. You will never see anyone contest a jumper like that. He actually kicked his leg out on the contest to get it farther into Leonard. That was dirty as ****.

PGAB is right that everyone here would be livid, rightfully so, if that happened to any of our players. And I really hate that Booker did that. Booker has been **** this year. We should have cut him and signed a less spazzy PF.
