I'm pretty surprised by these answers. While it is true that Favors/AJ make a better duo, Millsap is easily the one to keep. Jefferson simply dictates the pace of the team. Corbin had the right idea of making the Jazz a fast-break team, and when it works, it's really beautiful to watch. But that typically happens when AJ is on the bench, as he is slow up and down the court, and is too contemplative once he gets the rebound. More importantly, on the other side of the court, Jefferson posts up and waits for the ball, and once he gets it, he is guaranteed to hold it for a very long time. This is true regardless of his improvements in passing out or what have you. He will always hold the ball for a second, look around, most likely perform a couple of fakes, then either pass out or shoot. That means the only offense the Jazz can run must be centered around Jefferson's style.

So, yeah, I'd keep Millsap if the team is to grow and evolve.

If I had to keep one, it would be Millsap. But I really just want them both gone.

If they were to have the same salary, I'd probably pick Al by a nose. But since Millsap will very likely make several million per year less than Al, he gets my vote for this poll.

P.S. I finally watched Moneyball, just last night. :-)

O'Connor and Lindsey have made it clear Utah's "flexibility" in the near-future is a major key to success in the coming years. First and foremost I consider which player would negate that "flexibility" the most and that answer is clearly Jefferson - not only in salary but in style of play.

I'm probably in the minority, but I think Favors might actually be more effective at center than power forward in his career. Thankfully, he can play both and has the athleticism to guard some of the better stretch-4's in the league. Kanter is also clearly a 5 although his ability to step out on the floor doesn't pigeon-hole him to the low-block. Add Millsap and you have 3 bigs who can play in any combination, and you can slide minutes around because you have 2 guys who can play both the 4&5, and Sap can even play some 3. Big Al is a 5 plain and simple and he's not a center who controls the game from a defensive or rebounding standpoint. With the way the league is changing, I would much rather have the versatility of Millsap/Favors/Kanter than Al/Favors/Kanter regardless of Millsap costing significantly less than Jefferson.

It's easy. Al, Favors, and Kanter are all best at center. Keep Milsap who is best at power forward.

Why the hell does it seem like no one is interested in Millsap? All the rumors seem to be about Al, but then again we all know KOC's stance on leaked trade talks, and maybe other teams know this, and aren't saying anything, because Millsap is who everyone is most interested in.

I'd love to find a way to get Anderson Varejao, and just have a 3 man rotation at the 4&5. Three guys that can play both positions. What would Cle. want for him?
