None of these upper-echelon contracts are reasonable lolAssuming we gave him the max we could this year ($42m) that would make the remainder of the deal 4 Years, 196. That seems reasonable

Especially we had to meet the salary minimum to avoid the tax penaltyAssuming we gave him the max we could this year ($42m) that would make the remainder of the deal 4 Years, 196. That seems reasonable
If you click on the tweet the subsequent tweets explain it a bit. Basically it seems like he got all the money he could.I don’t know what “$220 million in new money” means, or if I do, what the significance is. Pretty sure that’s his current salary ($18 mil) plus, well, new money over the life of the deal. But I’ve not seen this language before and doesn’t really communicate anything.
Anyway. Uhh. Cool.
The pushback on that is that the new CBA is making teams think twice about spending the full max on one-or-no time all-stars.Shams doing taxes: "Isn't the 140k same than 100k? I think it is..."
I mean that 200 million he tweeted is pretty far from 238.
Well deserved. There's many players further away from being all nbas getting maxes, do max belongs to Lauri as well .
Just saying the language doesn’t explain anything. All extensions are “new money”. Doesn’t mean anything. If you click on the tweet the subsequent tweets explain it a bit. Basically it seems like he got all the money he could.
It's just a guess but the Jazz have been signaling to other GM's that their extra cap is not available for dumps. So we have been guessing what their scheme has been and this has been one of the guesses.Wishful thinking is weird way to establish what the Jazz actually have in cap space.
The only way the Jazz are getting Okoro is if Cleveland wants to do a S&T where they take Clarkson, which I think makes 0 sense for them unless Mitchell just really wants to hangout with Clarkson againSo that is 15 million available in cap money this year. Looks like it is Okoro that is the next move or an unforeseen dump.
The internet exists and it allows you to do research before speaking. It's just a guess but the Jazz have been signaling to other GM's that their extra cap is not available for dumps. So we have been guessing what their scheme has been and this has been one of the guesses.
