Wish I could rep this. I'm sure it would make his day.
I repped him. I'll sign the card from both of us.
Started with asking about specific confrence talks, went into the growth of the church and how to accurately, or best, determine active numbers. Then it went into how to define Mormonism; as a denomination or christianity, a new religion or both.
Question. I see a lot of missionaries in the area I live in. They're always on their bikes wearing their uniform. Anyway, with as much cycling as they do, why are the majority of them fat? I mean, I'd say, rough estimate, like 80% of the dudes I see are big.

Majority in my mission were skinny, we rode like 40 miles a day I average. And we ate rice and veggies because it was Taiwan.
In my mission alot of weight making was in style and the missionaries were all fairly fit. No cars or bikes and we hiked up the side of mountains all day.
Hmmm, maybe it's the area they're "serving" in.
You are probably lucky. Most of the missionaries I see are not overweight. There are some, but they are in the minority. As to US based missionaries if they did not start out overweight they got into a bad habit of eating a lot at dinner when people feed them so they end up putting on weight. Overweight missionaries at the start may already have bad eating habits.
