What's new

Let's all freak out, because

League Pass shows all games in the schedule but if the game is not broadcasted, they put an apology that says the game is not broadcasted.

Frank, you successfully pressed the buttons of so many posters... congrats. I don't understand all the freak outs about the starting lineup of presesason, especially in what so many think of as a throw away season record wise.

I do think it is a good idea to see if Favors can handle the 5 spot though. This way, he will have not choice but to be the center, as there is no way bean pole Evans can be a center.

This could be about a number of things. Such as:

How does Evans perform against starters?
How does Burks do in the starting lineup?
Is it better to have a wing or a big man as the 6th man?
Are Favors and Kanter better together or apart?
Is it possible that this is a one game adjustment based on who we are playing to exploit a particular matchup?

So you are saying these are reasons not to freak out?

Yes. They could be the reason that Corbin is doing what he is doing. It is only game 2 of the preseason and no one has even been cut.

Huh. And here I thought it was all cocaine on cookies that Burks and Evans were starting. Guess we better break out the hard liquor instead.

I hope Corbin just should've able to do that at last years pre-season and Kanter was having a great pre-season. Suddenly he decided to make some adjustments/coaching work? Cool. That's an improvement.

If im not mistaken he started the same 5 in every pre-season games of last season and never tried anything else than Alfe3nse.

I can't wait to do this tonight!!!!!!

He was trying to work Favors into the starting rotation instead. He also started Foye at point one time.

Part of this change might be to see just how big Kanter can be at holding a team all on his shoulders. That's a nice compliment to give the kid. Back to cookies on cocaine. <hiccup>

Starting Foye over Hayward was a move that you can expect from Corbin and yeah he was trying to adjust Milsap to the 6th man role but we all know how did that turned out. But again im ok with that line-up, its just a pre-season game and it wouldnt hurt to see some different line-ups.

BTW im impressed with your memory.

I'm not pleased about this either. However, does it have anything to do with Portland having a stretch 4? We may see this more often this year against teams that do.

Kanter can hit 3's...
He is also a lot quicker than he looks, so I think he'd be fine defending one as well. If not, you put Favors on them defensively and have Kanter defending the C.

I will be in the stands in boise watching our young core do their thing. represent from boise.

You realize, Sexual Favors, that it's possible that Kanter or Favors could miss a game here or there, necessitating the starting of Evans or someone else, right? Corbin is doing what he ought to be doing here. I hope you're trolling us all, bro.

^Beat me to it.

I'm pretty sure that Evans is starting because Corbin wants to know which big man should start in place of Kanter/Favors when one of them get injured.
The idea here is probably that Beans and Gobert would gimp the offense if Kanter was out and that Evans could hopefully stretch out the floor with his newfound shot.
Now if Favors is injured, I would think Beans or Gobert would get the start.

Pure speculation tho.
