What's new

Let's all freak out, because

I'm nit for taking, and PKM has said the same.

Do you need a reading comprehension courrse?

I am for developing our current talent the best way that we can, and last night was a slight against our best prospect.

Did I quote you or otherwise indicate I was talking about you?

It's gonna be fun watching people throwing hissy fits about the "way" we lose.

Losing is ugly.

Talk about overeaction. Corbin needs to see how Evans is going to deal with NBA players, not fringe players looking for contracts. Starting Evans lets him see that in a clear way. News flah, this is what the pre season is for, especially in a rebuilding year. He has to know if Evans athleticism will counter the size difference of legit NBA 4s.

But doesn't that go triple for Kanter? He had what, two starts last year? When does KANTER get a chance to show us what he can do? If Corbin wanted to see what Evans could do against NBA 4s, then doesn't it make more sense to sit Favors? But even that wouldn't make sense because if we wanted an undersized PF to start, then why didn't we re-sign Millsap?

I'm all for letting Corbin experiment with different line-ups during the preseason, but there has to be some logic behind his tweaks. Otherwise, we're not going to be ready when the season starts.

No, it doesn't. It really does not matter what he can show against starters... he's going to start. I suppose Corbin should never let anyone play in a preseason game who has no chance of making the roster?

This is exactly what the preseason is for. Coaches start tightening down the rosters towards the end of the preseason. Game 2 of the preseason means nothing. Sorry to be honest, but that is simple reality. Your reading between blank lines here.

Does anyone remember back to preseason when Corbin took Kanter out of the starting lineup, and some of you (stoked, franklin) said it was nothing to worry about, and that there was no way Corbin wouldn't be starting kanter and playing Him extended minutes all season?

it seems my overreaction was justified. kanter only played 13.5 minutes last night, hasn't started for a while, and has been shafted minute wise ever since going to the bench.

Kanter, a #3 draft pick who was drafted on potential, didn't play college or much since entering the league, and who just lost a summer of conditioning and training to injury, is having his minutes reduced!? I understand he's had some off games and questionable decision making, but come on, it is obvious Corbin is scapegoating him for the way the season started. we didn't lose because Kanter and Favors were playing together, we lost because Trey, Marvin, and Jeremy were injured.

i can't believe more people aren't outraged over this.

No one is claiming that your bolded part is why we are losing so I am not sure where your rage is coming from. Having the injuries was clearly the main reason for the Jazz's opening record. However certain moves can be made that strengthen the tank. Such as giving Kanter starter minutes. I think he will be great for Utah's tank and it will be great for Kanter and he gets the time needed to develop and learn thru things. I see big things from Kanter down the road. It just makes to much sense to not give him that time, as well as Gobert, right now.

I have seen gvc throw out tons of example of favors and kanter playing together being a huge factor in the jazz winning or losing

OK fine. Aside from GVC. But he is Canadian so does he really count?

Lol.
Maybe numb.
But ya, most of us blame the early losing on lucas the 3rd and tinsley + plus no bench whatsoever
