Great slashing with Randle
Lol
Great slashing with Randle
fixed.Pretty easy to come up with horrible nicknames
Orange Julius and Hot Nik.
The jazz were successful with Favors/Al Jefferson/Millsap, but I don't think you can call Randle an SF for extended minutes.
Dont think you can play Randle at SF at all.
18% on .5 attempts and a weak handle.
shut up AKMVBIt is Stauskas. AS not US. It drives me nuts when people can't even bother to spell players last name correctly.
This would be my MONSTEROUS Lineup:
Burke
Hayward
Randle
Kanter
Favors
We will get most rebounds. Enough shooting with Burke, Hayward and Kanter. Great slashing with Randle and Hayward. Great size. Long at every position (except Burke).
If you really think that this draftclass is full of talent, you are a dumbass to take the tweener... This team has everything we need, besides a SF. If we pick Wiggins and he ends up as a superstar and we get a new coach, this young Utah team will be complete...
Coach: Lionel ´the Bulldog´ Hollins
Assistant: Sidney ´Der Löwe" Lowe
-Trey Burke
-Gordon Hayward
-Andrew Wiggins
-Derrick Favors
-Enes Kanter
6th Man Burks
-Marvin Williams
-GS-Warriors Pick (Pg/SG)
-Back-up Veteran Center
-Rudy Gobert (Garbage Time)
8/9 Man Rotation...
Dont think you can play Randle at SF at all.
18% on .5 attempts and a weak handle.
Hey batbrain we didn't need a new thread for this sewage!! There's a draft thread for a reason you hairless rodent!!
assuming Jazz land Randle, couldn't they get a "good" SF via trade using Kanter inter alia?Yep, you'd have to be crazy to draft Randle and play him at SF.
It's only the 1st game, but Randle showing lots of decent SF skills in the highlight below, including:
- Can handle the ball very well in fast beak situation and also as a facilitator at the top of the key
- Very good passing skills for someone who's supposed to play PF this year
- Nice shooting stroke - seems like his range is out to the 3pt line (he's wayyy ahead of the curve compared to LeBron in this regard)
As has been noted by PKM, there are 2-3 times when Randle would start at the 3pt line, top of the key, then makes his way into the paint & drawing double team. Numerous times he seems to have enough vision to pass out to his teammates waiting to shoot 3's. If the defense sags, he simply makes his way to the basket and finish hard at the rim and/or draw fouls.
This is something that he seems to be able to do very well and seems natural to him too. To me this is strikingly similar to the way LeBron plays at the moment, his size, post game/face up game, the way he drives to the basket and making passes to his teammates.

More evidence of Randle's SF skills on show in last night's game:
- 0.39min: outlet pass to start a fast break, give & go & scores
- 0.51min: assist to 3pt shooter on the perimeter
- 1.09min: starting from the 3pt line, drives baseline and finished with AUTHORITY!!!
- 1.33min: a running outlet pass to start a fast break - leading to a quick/easy basket
- 1.53min: touch pass in the paint
- 2.19min: received a pass at the 3pt line, dribble/drive to the hoop, draws foul and scores
- 2.53min: handles the ball in open court, drives to the painted area - quick pass out to 3pt shooter
- 3.02min: Again, starting at the 3pt line, dribble/drive to the hoop - this time quick pass to the man in the paint who scores
