What's new

Lets face it this team blows!

Have to have 13. Your scenario puts the Jazz at least 3 million over the tax with one more to sign.

We were 11.3 under tax after QOs to Fess and Wes. Under my scenario, we bring in 13 mil (Jefferson), while getting rid of Wes QO (700K). That puts us 1 mil over tax. Sign Evans, Gains, and another min guy, we are looking at slightly over 2 mil above tax. Nowhere near 10 mil, and we have until trade deadline to shed a couple of mil to get under the tax. Does not seem too scary, does it? We are not talking anywhere near 10 mil over here.

Jazz at just over 60 million taking away Matthews QO...

Why don't we trade AK for Jefferson?

Trying to find a link from the Tribune for it, but can't. And if they used Hoopshype figures, then yes, I am.

I don't know what they used, but even according to your own statement, we would be 3 mil or so over. That's nowhere 10 mil we've been threatened with. To get a 25 year old athletic center, who has a 20-10 potential (and already averaged that twice) seems worth it to me. Besides, this is the worst case scenario. We have until trade deadline to try to shed these extra few mil. It really doesn't seem that outrageous of a proposition. Certainly not 10 mil over the tax as some suggest.

Who is also as bad a defensive player as Boozer was.

And from what I've seen, he's not terribly athletic. Skilled. Not athletic. And he's owed a lot of money.
