My feelings, exactly.I actually don't mind good, level-headed takes from Ute fans on my Cougs. But the trolls that can't stay out only strengthen my "extreme dislike" for all things Ute.
*I'm trying not to use the word hate so so much.
Lol. Because all BYU fans are just like Trout.Proof there are no BYU fans.
Just Utah haters.

I feel bad for him. I loved what he did at Temple. He should have stayed in Philly then taken over Penn St. He'd fit better there.
I guess this is as good a thread to post this thought as any: It's going to be really interesting to see where this Utah/BYU rivalry stands 20 years from now. Especially from a fan perspective.
It seems like the majority of younger BYU fans (that I know personally) come from families that were steeped in BYU fandom during the prior generation that were enjoying the WAC dominance of the 70's and 80's. Just my opinion, but it doesn't seem like BYU generates many younger fans outside of that demographic, and even then, some of the children/grandchildren of that group seem to break away to Utah.
When you couple Utah's move to the PAC, the decent success they are having, especially in head-to-head meetings, and the growing numbers of non LDS population in Utah, I half wonder if two decades from now, Utah hasn't swallowed BYU whole.
That might sound crazy, but if you look back 20 years, BYU easily surpassed Utah in fanship and rooting interest. Now we're at a point where more people polled, report that Utah is their team. What is going to change that for BYU if you look at the current trajectory?
:^OWhile I understand your perspective, I don't think it's that simple. BYU, despite the recent hits to their reputation, is a well respected school. There will always be a healthy number of Utahns that cheer for BYU and not just because of the LDS factor.
That doesn't minimize the growth of Utah fans. It just means that BYU will always have a solid presence in the state - and justifiably so.

While the loss still stings, it certainly does help cheer me up when I see the likes of Trout and Cy propping up a thread like this.
You guys just keep on hating. We'll happily keep rooting for our team while not giving a flying **** about yours. Good day.
I encourage all Ute fans to stay out of the BYU threads and vice versa. I used to think that BYU fans would be interested in an outsiders take of their team. After many frustrating/nasty conversations, the light finally came on, and I realized how useless it is.
There are 1 or 2 level headed BYU fans that post in the Ute thread, and they'll probably take offense to this, but someday I hope they realize that getting out of that thread would be better for everyone involved. The same goes for the Ute fans lurking in the BYU thread. I don't need your thoughts on my team anymore than you need mine on yours. Next year we can make a game thread for the Utah/BYU game, insult each other for a week, and then go back to where we belong. That's my dream.
This.
It's one thing to post in each other's threads but to make a "Life is good" thread to celebrate Utah's first loss just shows how much space that team is taking up in the poster's head.
Say what you want about the Utah "trolls" on this board, but I didn't see a single "Life is good" thread posted in here after their Michigan debacle.
Trout is a troll in this. I don't even think he would argue that.
