Punch Bowl Re-Filler
Exum will be starting for the Jazz in 2-3 years and will be playing well above average for his position in the league.
He has all the physical tools, all the intelligence and all the hard work to be a really good player. He is a slow developer and taking 2 years off from Basketball and his injury slowed him down a bit.
And you base your assessment of hard work, physical tools and intelligence on what? On the fact he's tall and runs fast? Good gawd, when are you apologists going to hold Exum accountable. That year "off" was supposedly spent working on his game. It's not like he went on a walkabout in the Outback. Dante had a great international performance which vaulted him into the draft. In that respect he was kind of like Arroyo. Utah bought into the hype. To me, Dante has always looked out of shape, even before the injury. And he can't shoot. Both of those factors indicate he's not a very hard worker. Yes, he had the injury. Yes, he was unable to lay for a while. But LONG before he was cleared for contact or running, he would have been back on the court shooting.
I hope you're right. But right now, it's more likely he's a bust (and by that I mean a career backup or very low end starter).
