Lindsey Is A Wizard

I mean, there are players in this leauge I'd trade Royce for, but... not that many. He's looking like he'll be the second coming of Draymond Green any day now. At 700k/yr and RFA in two years and change.

Yup. Another sign of DLs greatness. We have 2 more years of Crowder and O'Neale for under 10 mill per combined.

Royce deserves a new deal in the off season.

He wont get one. Jazz will use the increase cap flexibility to try and land another good player. O'Neale will see contact offers from the Jazz after next season.

he has two more left on his deal yeah? Or is the third year an option? he's playing like a guy worth 6 to 8 a year at the moment.

I'm not saying pay him that but offer him a bump, he's on what less than a million? That's the sort of money you pay a secretary...

Where do I submit my resume for secretary?

I believe our deputy PM is looking for a new secretary as well...

After Udoh and O’Neale, I’m ecstatic to see what value pickup DL comes up with next. Both of them have been huge bargains and great investments. I’m sure there’s other uncut diamonds in Europe that are just waiting to be mined.

Nigel Williams-Goss!
He'll be Utah's 3rd string PG if Raul decides to divorce Rudy and move on for bigger money.

Crawford and O'Neale can both be dangled to trade for an all-star type player. That's the importance of having great young prospects. Look what Boston was able to do in landing Kyrie. As much as I ilke them both, at some point they're going to get paid. As will Donovan. And Utah doesn't have the means to be a taxpayer year after year.

He's just under 2 mill per year. There is no benefit to the Jazz to suddenly throw several million more at him now. Why not use that money to bring in another good player instead of staying static? Makes no sense. You make the most of the very team friendly contract and when the time comes you either pony up the money then or put him in a good position to get that money from someone else.

And to top it off, if the Jazz were to not pick up those option years, they wouldn't have Bird rights, and I think he'd become unrestricted too. There is zero chance that happens. And I don't think we _can_ give him a raise.
