Had a prophetic column after the Celtic loss and nailed it, I think, as to why the Jazz are not doing so well right now. A couple of nuggets: Booker won't be back, Trey got the first DNP/CD of his career when healthy, QS wants to go to 2 point guards, and Ingles and Johnson are killing us on the wings. Other than that things are dandy.

Also, two point guards? Yuck yuck yuck

Two PGs is the norm for pretty much every team in the league. He's talking about ones who get playtime, not ones to have on roster, or ones playing together.

I read it as two point guards on the court at the same time.

I get it now. Phew!

Any idea why not?

I'm fairly certain he meant Booker won't be back next year which makes sense... Never said the words Booker won't be back.

I think he wants to shorten the rotation and only play two pgs... Not two on the court at the same time. I think Neto and Burke should alternate nights, but maybe we are done with him.

I don't think alternating nights is a good idea at all.

Even if we're done with him, he should play over Neto to improve his trade value. Parking him on the bench for the rest of the season would mean we'd be letting him go for a second round pick or some ****.

Or just letting him go, he is a restricted free agent. Jazz just wont match anything he gets IMO.

Exactly Snyder's strategy to trade players. He did the same with a previous player but it fired back when the player demanded for a trade. Other than that, Snyder worked it really successfully.

He's not. The Jazz picked up his 4th year option, and he won't be an RFA until after next season. No reason whatsoever to throw an asset in the trash can.

He will be restricted free agent in 2017/18, he will be the 3rd point guard next season? He will be traded for nothing at the end of this season.

I think it was obvious when Quin started Dante over Trey last year when Dante wasn't even close to being ready, was a signal that Trey's time in Utah would be coming to an end.

So you think the Jazz were planning implicitly to trade Kanter no matter what before season trade before the trade deadline. So why they didn't communicate him clearly that he will be traded so he could avoid to ask publicly to be traded?

Don't you remember man? Quin was obviously shopping him. I have said this countless times back then. Then the other stuff happened.

Yes I remember it very well but I think the Jazz management (the coach included) is not honest with some players. Anyway I'm not surprised, the Nba is mainly business.

The Burke management is questionable too. Burke didn't play the last games before the trade deadline becasue of a flu, he was on trading block in little words. They actively shopped him but at the end they decided to not trade him. I'm not sure that no team was interested to take him. He is a decent point guard that can score and his contract is acceptable.

Funny thing is we are missing Trey's scoring punch off the bench. We need Alec to come in and fill that gap, or we're hosed.

I bet Detroit and him would be soulmates. Hell even his father tweets #freehim. And what's up with that? Parents should leave their kid alone. They are pressuring him all the time with actions like that.

I respect Burke for his professionalism. The Jazz are treating him like a garbage player.
