What's new

Lockout!!!

So Kicky sends me a PM now...LOL...Below...

"That report was at two ignores with no other votes. I personally got it pushed over to an infraction through lobbying. Then some dumbass teacher from New Jersey pokes me in the eye for tolerating CJ. When you write things like that it's obvious that you don't have a ****ing clue what's happening. When you write things like that cluelessly in a way that's supposed to pants me it's even more annoying. You do stuff like that, I reserve the right to give you a good '**** you.'"

This is pretty rich coming from an ambulance chaser. LOL

"We've had another couple of intense days," said Stern. "A couple hours ago, after Peter Holt and I were in touch with the labor relations committee, we made a revised proposal to the union to address their concerns as best we could."

The clock on their offer will remain stopped until the player representatives have a chance to review it. If the deal is not accepted, the owners will revert back to their 47% offer.
Billy Hunter said the response from the player reps will indicate where the union stands on the new offer. That meeting may not happen until early next week, according to Hunter.

Hunter also said that there are approximately 30 to 40 secondary issues that still need to be resolved.

I hope Dave Checketts gets hit in the nuts by a soccer ball.

yep looks like the players let themselves get smacked around. another win for the oligarchs.

if 400 players with an average salary of $3 million dollars can't avoid being mugged by their employers...exactly what chance do the rest of us have?
Fortunately these 400 players aren't being "mugged"--even at 50/50.

I like where this is now. Hunter's last card has been played. The deal is what it is. This is the defeat he must accept. And a 72 game schedule is pretty great considering the time already lost. Time to move forward.

There will be a 72 game season if a deal is agreed upon?

I think I'm overpaid and I don't even belong to a union. My benefits are pretty freaking good, too. So, I guess it really depends.
