Why didn't he comply with the officers? Why did he raise his aggression level? Why did he run? Why did he continue resisting arrest the entire time? What else were the police supposed to do? And how does Corporal Cicinelli pass his eye exam?

I'm trying not to be, but I just can't help but be disturbed by this photo. This guy did a good job as Sloth in the Goonies though.

Then change the protocol so they're not trained to beat the **** out of people. Don't train them to subdue at all costs to a suspected criminal, in the name of "protect and serve", and then charge them with murder when they do what society told them to do. These actions are a product of society so you might as well indict us all.
 
Maybe we should start with training the cops to get into shape and take some Martial Arts classes, so they wouldn't have an excuse for beating someone to death.

Like I said, if I had a hireling who didn't have a lick of sense, I wouldn't try to "fix" him with a detailed "protocol". I fire him and hire a better sort of worker who could demonstrate some good judgment. To hell with protocols.

Society can be as deranged as any inmate of a psych ward, but as a "fix" there is no alternative but to stand up and speak out and try to create a new set of standards that are not actually insane. Hopefully, more people will listen than will try to kill you, and possibly enough will see the sense and spread it. . . . .
