What's new

lol @ Trey Burke. Said earlier this week the Jazz tried to "break" him, that we held him back

I don't think they tried to break him, but I sympathize with him. He was shown to the doghouse pretty quickly, though his play had a lot to do with it.

The one year he turned in any kind of consistent positive contribution is the year he got buried behind Neto. Sorry, I think that's a little ****ed.

All the same, Trey isn't and wasn't very good.

It was strange, so I'm guessing there may have been something going on behind the scenes that we don't know about. I just reject the idea that we owed him playing time at that point. Utah should have moved on at least a year earlier, and Trey had more than his fair share of opportunities to earn his spot in this league.

This is sad. Looks like he's trying to choke down tears when he's talking and I'm not mocking him.

Yeah, it kinda looks like he's having to come to terms with the fact his dreams may be dying. I honestly wouldn't wish that on anyone, regardless of whether or not he blames Utah for his shortcomings.

Trey did what he could but to blame the Jazz for his lack of playing time at the end is ridiculous. He started his rookie year and had tons of playing time to develop. His poor defends is what broke him and he is gonna see that it wasn't the Jazz but his own play that got him on the bench.

This is sad. The Jazz didn't TRY to break him, but they broke him nonetheless. Looks like he's trying to choke down tears when he's talking and I'm not mocking him. He wasn't good here, but last year, it's hard to make the argument he deserved the DNPs with the players slated in front of him in the rotation.
They fit better with the rest of the players on the team and they deserved the minutes in front of him. It's hard to argue he deserved as much of a chance as he got in Utah.

Trey needs this dose of reality. He cant blame it all on Utah. It's not just us who didn't get it. Now another team is doing exactly the same thing, and even calling him out more. His parents need a reality check. Their son was a stud on college but is undersized, and doesnt have a consistent skill in the NBA yet. Maybe if he can change his mindset of everyone else is blame, and work on himself he can become a solid back up.
