Hey!!! :) I've only joined recently too! But apparently it's kinda like a place to hang out and chat about stuff .. babe is basically our host .. he's pretty non threatening... so if you have life's problem you need someone's opinion on or some philosophical theory you want some feedback on or even if you wanna talk football.. just bring a topic..

The beauty of it is babe is kinda moderating it so hopefully you won't get as many stupid answers as you might do by starting a new thread in the general forum...

I tried to break it down to something you could understand. It wore me out, like working on a road gang bustin' rocks. . . .. .

like trying to explain the most basic subatomic particles. ...

my wife will never let me finish once I've started. . . . . discussing something. "Get to the point" is a sort of constant point with her. But I'm the little engine that could. . . and the energerizer bunny. It takes me a half hour to lay the groundwork for discussing the quantum mechanical aspects of getting the garbage to the curb on Monday mornings.

I'm not sure where this thread is headed, but I like the whole concept of one of the more observant comments early on. . . . .

hmmm. . . . where was that pic of Babe swinging for the bleachers.

but Hotttnickkk actually understood the legit basis for the format. I considered getting my own private forum, but basically I'd rather be wide open to anyone who wants to drop by. It's my internet living room. I'll be here whenever I can be. But the house is open, and just make yourselves at home.
 
Ok... got a question for you then babe:


"Can you truly love another human being (who is not your family/clan) - if you don't believe in God?"


Because if you believe in evolutions, "survival of the fittest", loving someone outside of your family/clan doesn't add to he cause. It's natural to be selfish and only live to survive.

If you believe in God and truly loves God, however, you understand that because God has created all of us, and loves all of us, by loving God, we automatically loves all human beings as ourselves as well.

I worked with a guy when I was much younger who was a Vietnam vet and smoked weed on the job, In his case, you actually WANTED him to smoke as it calmed him down. He'd often drive up to Northern California and we'd always ask if he was going up there to "check on his crop." He did say that in a few places you had to call ahead and tell people you were coming as they didn't respond too well to strange cars driving through.
