I could tell some more stories. . . .

stuff most philosophers won't touch, or don't know anything about. . .. . stuff that reveals their ponderings as something akin to "fried froth". A little bubbly crust with nothing real in it. . . .

I've made a hobby of learning about things others have experienced in this mortal coil that truly point to some things we don't normally experience or perceive. How do some people "just know" stuff, without data, without logic, without instruction, without science, without anything but a caring heart filled with empathy for others??? Another class of examples is found in people who come to Jesus at some low point in their life, finally casting out in a cry for help "come into my heart Lord Jesus".

Here is actually a huge library of real life experiences of this genre. I believe most Christian churches could compile a substantial number of testimonies of this kind.

I've taken the time, while driving, usually, to listen to hundreds of these. And I recognize in them a fundamental truth pertinent to all human life. . . . . our connection to, and relation to, a universal reality of our existence.

We can choose to focus elsewhere, we can choose to see something else, we can choose whatever we want, or think we want. . . . . but it just is, nevertheless.

Sometimes, the mass of things people 'know' in one way or another will just crowd out or push out things that can be known by other means. A scientist bent over his lab bench can know a lot about a bacteria, or a chemical. . . . . A mathematician scribbling equations on a chalkboard. .. . or submitting them in a formal paper for publication. . . . . can know some things pretty well. A musician with an instrument can produce something wondrous indeed, beyond explanation perhaps. . . .but the human nature has a spirit, an existence not just defined by nerves, sinews, bones or chemicals. . . . and there is no way to "know" anything about it with any other tools we have. . . . no electron microscope, no balance, no x-ray, no touch. Just considering it's existence, and being open to our reality.

Usually, it's stuff or some focus on something else that closes our eyes to seeing it.

alright folks. . . . back to the songs. All that was just by way explaining some of my next offerings in here:

is there a Cliff's Notes version? That's way too long....

summary please!

Well, we could endlessly discuss hallucinatory states and the meaning of consciousness, or dawdle on about how brains work, or don't. . . . .

And we could endlessly discuss science, data, evidence, facts, logic, and reason. . . . .and dawdle on about how brains work, or don't.

I just say some people want to believe, or don't.

what this lady tells in her story has a tremendous personal reality with me.

and in case I haven't made it clear, I appreciate you for showing up in this place. I just love people who will do totally nonsensical things because they are human, and care about other people. . . . .
