Looks like Kanter or PG

Jazz give: #3, #12 and Jazz Player X (Miles?)
Jazz get: #2, #18 and Wolves Player (Flynn) - draft Williams and Brooks/Jackson/Selby/Jimmer if he drops

Wizards give: #6, #18 and player they want to move
Wizards get: #12 and Jazz Player X (Miles)

Wolves give: #2 and Wolves Player (Flynn)
Wolves get: #3, #6 and a player from the Wizards

Summary:
- Good move for the Wolves, since they would pick a PG at 3 and Biyombo or Valanciunas at 6. This is better than the Cavs/Pistons proposal. They just need to take back a player from the Wizards.

- Okay move for the Wizards if they like Miles, like a player available at 12, and want to move a contract to the Wolves.

- The Jazz get to draft Williams and still pick up a rotation player at 18. They give up Miles and take back Flynn as a back-up. It all depends on how passionate the Jazz are about moving up to take Williams.

I wonder how the Jazz management feels about Williams. I wonder after he does a private workout with us if we will make any kind of attempt to get him.

My take would be they're not convinced he can play SF. Also doesn't seem his big personality would fit the Jazz. I'd say they let the 2nd pick slide and take whoever's left.

I know several people have posted this, but it does make some sense to offer #3 and #12 to the Wolves for #2 and #20.
If need be, we could flip a couple of players like Evans or Miles for Flynn. The Jazz would pick Williams and a rotation player at #20.

If the Wolves like Kanter, this makes a lot of sense for them. I can see wanting two picks in the top 10 though.

If the Wolves like Kanter that much, they'd take him at #2.

You can have BOTH!

Pick Kanter @ #3
Pick Fredette @ #12

Fredette is a heady player who has ice in his veins, can shoot lights out from 3pt with unlimited range. Plus, we have Hayward to help do a lot of playmaking and ball handling - we don't need another PG who will be a ball hog. We need a PG who can shoot.

A fit for Jazz's system
Who would you rather have to run the Jazz's system - a Billups type player - composed, calm, big enough to set screens, can knock down the 3pt when called upon. Or - a Westbrook type player - athletic (granted), but at times erratic and turnover prone (*cough* Knight *cough*).

Comparison to Billups
As I've said in other threads, I see Fredette as being a Billups type player and Billups is at least his ceiling. Billups isn't overly athletic, he doesn't play above the rim, he doesn't make flashy pass. But who he does bring is stability, runs the team, and makes his living making 3pts. Opponents respect his 3pt which enables him to make plays for others.

Your comparison of Billups and Jimmer is a joke. Billups is bigger, more physical, better ball handler and passer. Jimmer is the better shooter. Billups is great at running the team and creating for other player's while keeping control of the tempo. Jimmer has shown that he is really good at making a shot for himself. I have yet to see good passing or an ability to control the tempo of a game. Billups uses his size as a PG to post smaller PG's and look over them to see opening in the defense.

The only similarity I see at all is that they both have a tendency to throw up bad shots quite often. Jimmer's go in more than Billups' do but that does not make it a good shot. Jimmer has a ways to go to show he can even be a decent role player on an NBA team. Ball handling, controlling the game, and passing are 3 skills a PG needs that Jimmer is going to have to improve a great deal on to be anything close to Billups. Even if he does they will still be far different because of the size and the way Billups uses that size to his advantage.

Anybody who would indicate in any way that they would rather have Jimmer over Knight serously needs to get away from happy valley for a while and visit the outside world. I don't even really want night and unless we get Irving don't really want any of the PG's in this years draft.

Billups is like what, a 1/2 inch taller than Jimmer?

Billups is listed at 6-3 without shoes

Jimmer is 6'0.75 without shoes.

according to draft express

2.25 inches and Billups uses his size and physicality inside to punish other PG's. I have not seen much of that from Jimmer and that is against college PG's.

Do you think Billups is a good comparison to Jimmer?
