I would like to see Jimmer be able to make passes off of the dribble more to say that. Jimmer can dribble into traffic and make shot for himself but to me part of ball handling is positioning for passes before getting yourself into trouble.

And I don't think that Jimmer is better with the ball than Billups. Jimmer had more to/game in college than Billups has ever had in a single season in the NBA.

Billups was never a quick-first-step guy. He'd stagger-step and get his opponent on his shoulder in order to get into the lane.

I think there is some comparison between Billups and Fredette offensively, but not defensively. Defensively, Jimmer is more in the Mike Bibby camp...if that.

Don't you make the room for the possibility for Fredette to improve? If he could be anywhere near the level of Billups I think for the #12 pick that would be a steal in this draft.

What more - he's more likely to stick around Utah and we all know that can't be a bad thing!

Jimmer is 6'0.75 without shoes.

2.25 inches and Billups uses his size and physicality inside to punish other PG's. I have not seen much of that from Jimmer and that is against college PG's.

I think its an OK comparison. He doesn't have to be just like him to make a comparison. He might have quite the height of Billups, but he definitely has Billups like strength.
