Lottery Standings

Speaking of 66 games, does anybody else like the idea of this over 82 game season? I'm a basketball junkie, but games just appear more meaningful this year.

If the warriors win one more (probably not going to happen), they could possibly tie with Detroit still. That would be better for my ticker!

I just discussed that in the other thread. It would be nice if that were to happen just for the fact that both teams would split up the lotto balls. Which in turn would limit the Warriors chances even more of jumping into the top 3.

Spurs locked up the top seed in the west tonight, which makes it pretty likely they'll rest the old three against the Ws in the last game. They're tied with the Bulls for best record overall, but in the past when they needed the last game to secure HC throughout, they've rested their guys anyway. I'm guessing Pop will stick with that, hopefully.

We need the Bulls to be motivated to beat the Cavs the last game of the season. Hence it would be nice if the Pacers can beat the Bulls, pulling the Heat to within a game of the Bulls if the Heat beat Boston. Oh the subplots never end.

That would be great as long as he doesn't rest them against Phoenix if we lose tomorrow. But if we win tomorrow (when we win tomorrow), it would be sweet if they rested most of their players--and I mean most of them, at least ten of them. Pops could take the Bobcats to the Playoffs. He is such a great coach and the Spurs look so damn good right now.

Yep, that's a good scenario. They'll rest their main guys and the W's might be forced to win that game.

On the other hand, Sacramento now plays 2 teams with nothing to play for. The Kings could tie GS with wins over OKC and the Lakers (if GS loses both of their games). You normally wouldn't give them a chance of winning either game, but OKC and LA have nothing to gain and may choose to rest their key players.
