Might be worth bringing to camp to battle Gaines for 3rd point guard. He played at Idaho, was first team all WAC and is Idahos no 2 career assist player despite transferring from Washington State. Last year he was in a statistical dead heat with Nevada'a Armon Johnson who appears to have made the Blazers roster after being a high second round pick. This spring he played in a league with Dominic Waters who was with the Jazz in Orlando and Hopson was MVP of the league and is playing in a thing called the International Basketball league averaging 16 points 5.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game.

I love homeytennis. He knows a lot about unknown players. I'm sending you praise so you keep looking for diamonds in the never-even-thought-to-look-there.

Did Gaines sleep with your wife or something? Why so much hate... he's better than Price by a mile (ok, more like a few feet)... but come on! Hopson can battle "Price" for the 3rd spot. I'm ok with that.

If we are going to depend on Gaines to put games away for us, we are in real trouble. His free throw shooting last season and in Orlando is horrible. Particularly for a guy that does a lot of slashing to the basket. That is something he can fix with a lot of work and it looks like he hasn't put in the time.

Kinda of a another strange thing is Gaines was playing for the Idaho Stampede last year and is the type of player he would start a thread about "hey Gaines to replace Price"... oh and Gaines ain't gonna be closing out jack, there's another PG on the roster called DWill, you should look him up he is rather good.

What if DWill is hurt, sick or has fouled out? Then either Price or Gaines will be your closer. The other team's defense will be hack a Yatta.

Kind of figured you meant that and while Price isn't a great FT shooter he is about a career 70% FT shooter also could have the other guards (Bell, Miles, Hayward) bring the ball up the court and use AK to help initiate any offensive sets. No not perfect but baring a long term injury this scenario shouldn't happen but a few times if ever, like last year I only remember a few games this happened.
