Malone winning and butthurt Spurs fans

Kanter doesn't need to be like anyone else. His game is evolving right in front of our eyes... except at a slower pace because Corbin hates him.

No man you got it all wrong! Here take a look at this:

Great sig btw.

Yeah, I'd be the first to say that we've over-emphasized leaping... It's important, but, man, that's all anybody seems to talk about. Enes has what it takes + strength in spades. He'd better be a starter next year.

Yeah. Arguably, he is one of the most versatile Centers in the game right now.

To dunk over people and finish with alley-oops is not what it takes to become a good player.

Kanter is a good athlete. He is quick, can outrun many bigs and is light on his feed in the post with his footwork.

He can jump, too. He had some terrific dunks. It's just his standing vertical and lack of great explosiviness. All in all, if he can take some steps, he is a solid leaper.

A solid athlete or a guy with great length is not automatically a rim protector and shot blocker if he has no defensive awareness and timing. It just gives him pore potential all around where many athletes fail and underachieve. Work ethic and the mental part are much more important. Combine it with some skills and you are likely going to have a good player.

You might be biased. It's just my point of view. Like it or not...

Not really, even though I am a diehard Jazz fan.
When was the last time any of those guys in your list recieved an MVP award after being in the league 13 years already?
Neither KG nor Duncan are still at the top of the ladder at their respective positions at this point and time.
And Nowitski is a great scorer, that's it.

Well, I only have Duncan at the top. Malone and Garnett are second. For sure, none of these players could play on an elite level as long as Malone. Players decline much faster. So, Malone was one of a kind.

All in all, it's the defensive side of the game I also have to consider. KG and Duncan are/were elite defenders. No disrespect to Karl, he is a top two or top three PF of all time but I have Duncan rated slightly higher over Malone. At the end when things are tight, It's not like the rings don't count...

Ah I see.
Well what do you have to say to the fact that Duncan is actually a center?

Well, next to David Robinson, he was the PF. Even now, next to Splitter, he is the PF. Well, he could/can play both positions. Splitter, imo, is more of a PF.

In this league, there is nothing like a PF or C anymore. You often see two PF's start or two C's start. It's not like in the past. Teams often tend to play small ball. Even strong SF's find some minutes at the C position which did not really happen in the past.

Neither Favors nor Kanter are clear Centers or Power Forwards. Kanter is closer to be a PF but is listed as a C. Favors is closer to a C but is listed as a PF.

If a player has the skill/game and size to play both positions, then we should accept it.

Duncan is as much a PF as he is a C.

He says he is a PF. His coach and team say he is a PF. So why is he a C? It is a simple answer Jazz fans use because he has been better than Karl but it isn't true. Duncan is a PF.

Malone was a better pf. Duncan had better teammates. Could you imagine Malone with Robinson, Parker, Ginobili, etc? Malone had Stockton as an All-Star sidekick and Horny as a very good player.

Duncan has had much, much better talent around him than Malone ever had.

p.s. I get a debate between Timmy and Malone for #1.

BUT, the fact that most of those Spurs fans have KG and Dirk over Malone lets me know that they are all idiots and not worth debating anyways.
