This was the rare bad Gobert game. It happens so infrequently, but honestly helps you appreciate how amazingly good he is normally. There was no way we were going to win the game if Nic Claxton is outplaying Rudy Gobert.
I agree 100%.Don't think I can hate a player more than I hate Durant. Piece of human garbage.
KD haters are funny. This is nonsense… he won two finals mvps. I get he joined a stacked team but they don’t win it without him. He was the best player on two title teams… how is that wasted time? His Brooklyn years are a much bigger waste of his talent since he’s had no help.
I don't think you can definitively say they don't win without him. They had just went 67-15 and 73-9 the 2 years before KD joined them. They won 1 ring and lost the next to the best finals series one of the 2 best players of all time played in his entire career. To say they would absolutely have not won without him, with those kinds of seasons already under their belt with their current team, is ridiculous. They were at the peak of their dominance and added another weapon. If I have 5 guns pointed at you and I add a machinegun to the mix, well I would have probably won that fight anyway, but that machine gun sure made a lot of noise, right? Obviously the best gun in the mix. I don't think what he did with GS was anything special given the circumstances. It was actually expected with his level of talent and the team that was now enabling him to shine. Combining 2 recent MVPs at the peak of their careers, with a DPOY at the height of his defensive prowess, on a team that was largely intact and had just set the record for most wins in a season and went to the finals both of the previous 2 seasons and won a championship in the mix, would rarely lead to bad outcomes. It is definitely him riding coattails, not KD dragging GS out of the depths of obscurity to an improbable championship. This is nonsense… he won two finals mvps. No one blames him for wanting that, every player wants that. I am sure if every player could just pick which team to be on you would see a team full of 12 all-stars running rough-shod over the entire league all the time. But he was such a douche about the whole thing, and has been ever since. That is why it is unpopular. The fake twitter accounts to "defend" his decision, the lame ways he went after fans because he was butt-hurt about the whole thing. He is just a douchebag of the first order. Plain and simple. Look at his jr high school bullying in the all-star game an on social media. He has earned all the derision he has received. Not because of his decision but because of his entitled attitude and immature insecure way of handling the fall-out, and frankly the way he treats people. He is a piece of ****, plain and simple.KD haters are funny.
Yeah KD made kind of a lame move, but when your forced to play with Russell Westbrook for your entire start of your career can you blame him for wanting to join a team that played a better style of basketball?

And he is one of the 2 or 3 best basketball players on the planet. No doubt. Nothing is doubting his ability. This is about his character more than anything else. Or lack thereof.
They likely win in 2016-17... they absolutely do not win in 17-18... Rockets had them beat with KD and choked.I don't think you can definitively say they don't win without him. I don't think Quin likes him at all. Too much chaos or something. He loves him some Hernangomez doe. I just don't get how Quin makes his playing time decisions.I thought last night would have been a good situation to bring in Paschall. For some reason Snyder went small when it seemed like their size was bothering us. Paschall could have been a good boost of energy when we were starting to lag. He might have been able to bully his way to the rim when our offense was stagnant. I'm wondering if he could have been a large body to put on Durant. I doubt he could have stopped Durant, but maybe he could have made him work a little harder and got in to his body a little more, make him uncomfortable.
But then Juancho didn't get much PT after the half. Sometimes I wonder what is rattling around in Quin's head.I don't think Quin likes him at all. Too much chaos or something. He loves him some Hernangomez doe. I just don't get how Quin makes his playing time decisions.
He is like a guy swinging from a rope. He has other ropes around him, and occasionally he reaches out to see if they are strong or weak, and finds some of them are pretty darn strong. But the rope he has is comfortable. He knows it. He trusts it. He made it himself, in fact. So when it starts to unravel and he starts to drop toward the end, he just grips it tighter. This is his trusted rope. No way this rope can fail if he just holds on hard enough. No, none of these other ropes are worth grabbing temorarily. Sure they might give him a reprieve, maybe keep him from falling this time so his beloved rope can be fixed or just bounce back from being stretched too far. Bu no, his favorite rope is what he needs right now. White-knuckle grip that sucker, it has to keep him from falling. Right? Right? But then Juancho didn't get much PT after the half.
