What's new

Please don't compare the Miami situation to the GS one. That is reckless and disrespectful.

Miami hadn't made it out of the first round for 3 postseasons prior to the Decision. Toronto also was a first round exit team with Bosh. Danny Ferry had tanked Cleveland's chances to progress. Those guys went to Miami along with a brand new coach in the hopes to build something.

Durant left a Western Confercence Finals team that was leading GS in that series. His team could have and should have won. After losing the series, he leaves that success of a team to join the 73 win Warriors who had just barely lost to Cleveland in probably the best series in NBA history.

People act like LeBron did something dirty with the Decision whereas Durant did the dirtiest, most cop-out, sandbagging move in league history.

Bruh... reckless and disrespectful... holy ****. They are comparable... sorry... it all amounts to the best players in the world saying "I can't do this by myself so I will stack a team to give myself the best chance to win." Wade and Lebron were top 3-4 players at that point regardless of how their teams performed the season or two before... Bosh was what... top 10? And they all did this tour BS that bottlenecked other teams from doing things... when they knew the whole time what was going to happen.

Also you call me disrespectful for comparing to somewhat comparable situations and then go on to say KD did the "dirtiest" move in league history! How the eff was it dirty? What he did has the same spirit of what Lebron (2x), Paul George, Kawhi, Wade etc have done... don't be a whiny baby because he did it better than they did... if those guys could have added more they would have.

And everyone on this forum would do the comparable career equivalent of what KD did if they were given the opportunity. Yall act like he murdered children to make a billion dollars or something... he simply chose to work in the best city, situation, and with the best co-workers. He's on to a new project now... so maybe get over it.

Wow. Good job taking everything out of perspective.

I can dissect this more tomorrow, but Bosh was never a top 10 player and Wade was not a top 3-5 player when LeBron joined.

GS had one of the best 2 year runs in league history. KD left a contender to join the favorite. LeBron, Bosh and Wade were at 1st round exits and tried to build something unique.

The Warriors pre-Durant were an organic success story (sure with a little tanking to get picks). With Durant they were that team with a super-glued on top 3 NBA player to guarantee that Durant get a ring or two. He stuck around for a few seasons, never really felt like he was 100% into his team, and then bounced after mission accomplished.

Neat.

Wade was absolutely a top 5 player when LBJ joined. No doubt. He was a multi-year all-star and just 2 years before LBJ joined he put up a stat line of 30 pts (lead the league) 7.5 assts, 5 rebs, 2.2 steals, 1.3 blocks. And for the 5 years before LBJ got there Wade averaged nearly 27 ppg. His 3rd year in the league he was an all-star and lead the team to the championship with a stat line of 27 ppg, 6.7 assts, 5.7 reb and 2 steals. He was definitely a top 5 player when LBJ got there, if not top 3 in the league at the time. In fact his stat line dropped off when LBJ got there because he began to defer to LeBron.
