Mark Cuban's afraid of the witchhunt. he might think he is next target of the witchunt

I will say it's an oddity to read in the same thread on the same day a ridiculous statement that I have never read before, that religion isn't irrational, and a ridiculous statement that is used over and over again, that "lack of belief" is a belief.

You don have to agree that is fine. But if you do not believe in God. Classify it how you want. That's a belief to me.

It's awful logic, though.

You're irrational because you don't believe in any ethereal situation. You don't believe Zeus is gonna rain lightning bolts on your ***. You have a religion.

A sentient alien visits you and you ask it/him/her if it/he/she believes in "god," and you're told there's no reason to, and in you're logic, the alien has a belief. It's ridiculous.

It is equally foolish to me to claim that the belief that there is no God is not belief. Your silly examples or not

You keep saying "belief that there is no god." That is an inaccurate statement. The accurate statement would be "no belief in a god."

As many have said before me, atheism is a belief like bald is a hair color.

Would you forbid someone from marrying an 80-year-old woman? Your silence on this is telling, because I'm fairly sure you would allow for this, even though there is no chance of procreation. That indicates you are deceiving someone, probably yourself.

agaiun i would NOT.

omg how the **** is it hard to understand.

mariage is for proctreation.
a man and woman are needed for procreation.
some unfertile men and women will fall to the cracks. thats ok. but we dont go forcing millions and millions of ss mariage through the cracks.

GET IT?

seriously wtf? are you DENSE?

Atheism:
noun
1. the doctrine or belief that there is no God.
2. disbelief in the existence of a supreme being or beings.

How about that...

Anything based on faith is by definition irrational, but that includes my humanism every bit as much as your Mormonism.

While I'm in favor of legalizing marijuana and prostitution, I recognize there are rational arguments against either one. While I am in favor of raising the minimum wage, I recognize there are rational arguments against it. In cases like this, I try to make my decision based on the preponderance of the evidence and what seems to do the most good or cause the least harm.

However, I'm still waiting to hear an argument based on reason and/or sound judgments against gay marriage.

how about this sound reason.
the defintion of mariage you accept differs from the definition. is different then the definition i accept for mariage.
that is sound reason enough.
i define marriage as something you do for procreation.
ss mariage do not lead to procreation.

you would say an 80 year old woman would normally not procreate. i say 90%(or surely more) of heterosexuals procreate. so there will be some infertile (people/couples) who will fall through the cracks. i am not a fan of therefore forcing all other same sex mariages through those cracks. cus then the system breaks down.

if you say mariage is for love so that 2 people can spent there live togetehr and get benefits(certain rights) then yes marriage should not be only for heterosexuals.

NO woman has ever borne a child at the age of 80. The oldest verified birth (there are other questionable reports up to the age of 73) was 70 years old. Secondly, where in the marriage contract does it ever say "to procreate?" I have never heard a marriage vow that includes that. Given that procreation is possible (and likely) without marriage, your argument falls apart on THAT basis as well. Face it, the only reason you don't want same-sex marriage to be legal is you don't want people of the same sex to get married.
