Besides losing nothing longterm and substantially improving the Jazz's chances at a better draft pick? Maybe a 2nd-rounder? But given the bald-faceness of this league's tanking fiasco, that's probably greedy.

Imo gordon and butler are better than marvin and jefferson..... therefore it doesn't help the tank.

Unless there are injuries with gordon and butler..... if that's the case then lets do it

Maybe a right to swap picks in the first round, or the worst of their 1st rounders*, but most likely a 2nd rounder. And you'd have to get a pick of SOME type or young player or you wouldn't be able to even pretend that you're not tanking. And Ben Gordon a burning garbage fire, so, basically he's perfect and the Bobcats look half decent and I think want to get better how they can.

And Caron Butler isn't as bad as Gordon, but Marvin Williams is better than Jefferson. You might be able to pull a similar bare-minimum future asset out of there.

Getting rid of Marvin is the key here. He makes the Jazz so much better (given his traditional impact on basketball) that it's hilarious.

*They own two other teams' picks (Detroit top-8 and Portland top-12 protected) but owe their pick to Chicago that's top-10 protected. And maybe on the right to swap picks, you do it with GSW and one of those picks. I don't know, it's probably greedy.

If Marvin Williams for Caron Butler is enough to swing 3 losses to the Jazz and 3 wins for the Bucks, then the Jazz might have a case for retiring Marv's jersey one day.
