What's new

Meanwhile, Deron the Killer is back

Lin has faced Williams twice this year....they've each won once. So, what's the big deal??? Lin dominated Williams in the first meeting. You don't HONESTLY think Deron is going to make 8 or 9 three pointers again in one game this season, do you? Throw it out of your mind! Deron's game has regressed since joining the Nets. It will probably stay that way until he get's out of that god-forsaken place and joins the Mav's or another team with much better players.

Like I already said, Deron has only played with that chip on his shoulder, that fire, once this season (last night). It was good to see that. Jazz fan or not, when he's playing at that level it's incredibly fun to watch if you like basketball. Listen, I think it's completely lame that he's been playing like a pouty baby and not giving his best effort every night - just as he did his final several games in Utah - but I have a hard time buying that he's just worse now than he was in Utah.

As to the poster who called me a racialist - it's a beastie boys reference. "If you knock me, you'll get mocked. I'll stir fry you in my wok." However, I will admit I anticipated the conclusion your ilk would jump to upon reading it and that sealed the deal for me to post it.

The statue was said in jest. But I do believe his jersey should be retired when he retires. If it weren't for him this franchise would absolutely be dead (who knows, maybe even folded by now). There isn't another player, specifically point guard, in the league who came in when he did who could've accomplished what he did.

Look at the roster now.. when I watch games on TV, ESA looks completely empty. If the season continues to go south, less and less fans will be showing up. D-Will revitalized the franchise in more ways than just the win column.

Agreed he's not in the same conversation as Stock or Malone, in regards to impact on the franchise or legacy as a player (still some time left in that category though), but to say this shouldn't be on the forum and he's as forgettable as any other former jazzman in the league like Stevenson, Humphries, Matthews, etc. is asinine.
You need to have your eyes checked or you need to buy a new tv. The jazz rank 6th in the NBA in attendance. I think you are overstating Derons value overall to the team and underestimate how great and loyal jazz fans are.

If the jazz would've traded away Stockton or Malone after 6 years of there careers, we would've all been in an uproar, and many fans probably would've stoped watching the jazz all together as we can see by the link jazz fans weren't too upset by the trade just a little shock. https://espn.go.com/nba/attendance

I can't believe this got moved to the General NBA Forum! What an outrage!! I'm going to go kick my neighbor's puppy! LOL

Geez, Jerry, you missed the whole point. THERE WAS BACKSEAT MODERATING TAKING PLACE.

What is wrong with you people?

oh, and I <3 Deron AND Thabo.

(sad that Thabo's been injured though)
