Measurements

Marcus Morris alligator arms seem to have been greatly exaggerated. He measured a very respectable 6'10 ! With his advanced game and shooting I'm really liking him as a potential SF pick at #12.

Faried measured tiny at 6'6", smaller than Millsap, unbelievable. Guess his hair gave the appearance he was bigger.
Fortunately he doesn't rebound or block shots with his forehead. Wingspan is 1.5" inches shorter than Sap's but does have a standing reach 2.5" longer. Think he's still in the 15-25 range.

It may have somehow technically measured out that way, but I cannot fathom how that makes sense. Less height + less wingspan = MORE standing reach???

I don't understand how these things work sometimes. Shoulder width?

Some dudes have really big hands, some really big shoulders, some just have really long arms.

Yeah likely a combo of shoulder width and arm length. You see that sometimes. Take Singleton for example. Taller than Hamilton, Harris and Honeycutt and with a much longer WS but shorter standing reach than all three.

Sap has a broader frame, but shorter arms than Faried as evident in the standing reach.

I is Irving's number really without shoes? He was listed at 6'2" in college. If he is 6'1.75" without shoe then he 6'3" or 6'4" with them. College teams don't usually undersell heights.

He's a freshman. He probably grew in the last year....or found bigger shoes.

Being 6' 2" without shoes wouldn't have anything to do with his shoes. So either he grew significantly, or they measured him without shoes last year.

Without shoes:
Kemba height = Raymond Felton; ¼ inch taller than Ty Lawson, Johnny Flynn; ¼ inch shorter than Chris Paul, Eddie House.

Brandon Knight = Jason Terry, Derek Rose; ¼ inch taller than Roddy Beaubois, George Hill; ¼ in shorter than Deron, Devin

Kanter = Greg Monroe, Troy Murphy, DeAndre Jordan, Rasheed Wallace; ¼ inch taller than DeMarcus Cousins, Channing Frye; ¼ in shorter than LaMarcus Aldridge, Nazr Mohammed, Kwame Brown

Chris Singleton = Paul George, Carlos Boozer, Luke Walton, Antwan Jamison, David Lee, Kevin Love; ¼ in taller than Sheldon Williams, Darrel Arthur, Danny Granger; ¼ inch shorter than Grant Hill, Mike Dunleavy, Patrick Patterson

DWill = Lebron, Tyus Thomas, Hakim Warrick, Richard Jefferson; ¼ taller than Rudy Gay, Trevor Ariza, Michael Beasley, Marvin Williams, Luol Deng; ¼ in shorter than Sheldon Williams, Darrel Arthur, Danny Granger

Kawhi Leonard = Martell Webster, Paul Pierce, Anfrenee Hardaway, Jalen Rose; ¼ taller than Thadeus Young, Ronnie Brewer, Andre Igoudala, Evan Turner; ¼ shorter than Chase Buddinger, Paul Millsap, Kyle Korver, Carmelo Anthony, Brandon Bass

Singleton is going to be one of those players, like Gerald Wallace, that is going to be drafted and Jazzfanz.com will be complaining about it for years. In fact, I predict in the next decade he'll be one of those players, just like Gerald and Jsmooth, who will have hundreds of threads talking about trading garbage and draft picks for them.

Indeed, he would be a perfect fit for us. A long athletic defensive minded wing who can also shoot.

Yet, we'll ignore him... Or draft some broken system player.

He'll be drafted by a team like the Clippers, Hawks, or Bobcats and his talents will be wasted there.

I've been the first and biggest Singleton supporter on this site. I'm not big on Knight but if we took Singleton (or Biyombo) at #12, I'd be ecstatic.

Leonard or Singleton will be available at 12. You can book that. If Biyombo falls there, you take him, but if he doesn't, I don't know if you trade up for him.

Those are my thoughts on the 12. The End.
