Recently he attended to a basketball tv program in Turkey and told couple of things which arent significantly important but anyway i wanted to share with people.

At first he told like, he didnt touch the ball for long time and he missed basketball so much and still regrets his decision to come back early so it made things worse

The commentators asked about Jerry Sloan issue and he politically answered as he doesnt think its about Deron. Jerry always said if he wake up one morning and doesnt feel the power, he will retire. Then commentators told like, but i dont think Jerry is a guy who would leave things in the middle. I think there is another reason which provoked it. And memo told like, mabe he felt he doesnt have the same authority in players anymore. He also told how important jerry was for his careeer and he owes his allstar performance to him. And told in a funny way, he attributed to me a lot but i changed his game plan, he always played with classic centers before, not shooters.

Then they asked about the millsaps improved performance and he told, he was already very good last year(or the year before im not sure) when boozer was injured. He told 'me and millsap was a very good couple and understand eachother in the court very well. And he comes to practises early, he works hard, and i think Jerry Sloan loved his this side a lot'.

They also asked about Enes and he told, i didnt see him play but i heard he is good. Comentators told it would be an advantage for Enes' growth to be with anotherTurkish player in team. So memo told he hopes to see him in his team.

And last, they asked like what about utah, it seems hard for u guys to be contender again what u think?
He told, now we r rebuilding. In season there was chaos, and it was difficult for players. Also when asked about deron, he told deron is the best point guard together with Derrick rose in the league. Paul is good too but these two is best for me. But harris also is a good player. He suddenly found himself in the middle of fire when he came, thats why he is criticized but he is a very good player indeed. But anyway, Utahs first goal is to reach playoffs right now, rather than contending as he implied.

I kinda understood from his body language that he is willing to play a couple of years more staying in Utah, i wonder what people thinks, after this year, would u like to see Memo with a mid level exception or a favorable deal?

Thanks for the article. (Rep'ed) Memo has always been one of my favorite guys on the team, Love what he brings on the offensive end. He and Boozer were just not a good pair together on the Defensive end. I would like to see Favors and Memo on the court together at times and see if Favors can be the Help defender that well make Memo a fit on the defensive end. Memo is a good man defender but is a little to slow and is not a shot blocker that can help. A lot of Memo's future on the team depends on this and next years Draft IMO. If the Jazz pick up a couple of bigs in the next to drafts I don't know that Memo well be retained at his age. But if the Jazz deal Millsap or Jefferson to get a scoring Wing then I wouldn't mind Memo back at a mid level price.

I do wish he would have been 100% when he came back instead of trying to get back so soon. It really was hard watching him flounder out there when we know what is was capible of in the past.

thanks for this, i really miss memo, thought he and d-will had tremendous chemistry and with him out it just wasn't the same for the jazz offense. i hope he works hard to come back and we get to see him play more years in the nba. that's what people want to know if he is healthy enough to play at this level again. if yes i hope to see him in a jazz uniform.

This reminds me how likable Memo is. I hope he can come back and contribute as a role player.

Me too. That has always really been his ideal role on a championship team anyway (off the bench playing limited minutes and not asked to do too much in the scheme of things).

Am I the only one who often thinks "Oh yeah, I forgot about Memo"?

I don't think i'm ever going to forget that injury though. Dude's face looked like he was having a baby while passing a kidney stone through a gunshot wound.

Excellent find, it was good to read something not related to the draft. Thanks for posting.

That achilles injury was so bad, and Memo is 30 years old, I forget about him because it looks like he is done. Memo is easy to cheer for, and I hope he makes it back.

Thanks for the update. I loved it!

Jazz fans should remember that Memo came back early from an injury to play in Game 1 vs the Nuggets. We should all be a little less critical of players when they don't come back from injuries, because they risk greater injuries.

We should also love Memo all the more for continually wanting to play.

I love Memo and I still believe in him. He won't be an all-star, but he will still make a difference. This team would have been a lot better if Memo was around the entire year. Can you imagine how sweet it would have been?

I firmly believe that D Will would not have been traded if Memo had been healthy the entire year.

he already told like, i owe a lot to deron in my allstar performance, he has a great creativity something like that

Memo will never be like he was unfortunately. I hope I'm wrong though.

i agree with you, he will never be the same due to his age and injury. And he told like, his main problem is, when he jumps and lands on floor, his lumbar discs or smthng like that, makes a problem and that is very critical for a big man shooting a lot. So it was very unlucky and he told he had very boring and difficult times whole year. Its hard to be away from basketball for him. I can see him play some more years, but i think he can contribute from bench, not a big role as before, and i think if we draft enes, he may be very useful guide for him.

And i want to update the thread , he told in an interview today in Turkey that, his biggest hope is end his career in Utah and see his uniform hang in the utah hall, or i dont know how u say it, on top of the court
