Memo traded to NJ

A bit saddening, since I like Memo, but not really a bad move at all. Kanter showed he deserved minutes, making the move acceptable.

I'm sure the front office wasn't thrilled with moving Memo the person, just with dumping Memo the contract.
 
We get rid of Memo's contract without using the amnesty, get more minutes for Favors and Kanter, and get a trade exception to perhaps aid in pulling off another big trade? Come on people, relax--we're rebuilding...or didn't you get the memo? (pun intended)
 
I get the argument for this: Get Kanter guaranteed minutes, clear salary, the TPE is potentially very valuable, and yeah we lose more so Lottery!

But (without another deal) we lose more. I don't want to lose more. I don't care about lottery.

If they wanted to just dump his contract I am glad they got something for him instead of just amnestying him.
 
I hate to see him go. I also hated seeing him take up minutes the last 2 games. This is bittersweet. Poor Kanter is all alone in America now.
 
Call me sentimental, but I think we should have an AK appreciation thread and a Memo appreciation thread stickied for at least a week. Maybe have some prodigy videos on the first page of each......?.....?
