Memo traded to NJ

Could the jazz possibly be setting up to re-sign Deron this summer? Maybe even CP3 or Dwight? They better be After all the salary dumps and letting Mathews go.

I probably have no legit reason but I am a little soured on DWill and his personality.

I heard differently, and in context it sounded like 13 per based on the other radio guys reactions to it. (they both disagreed) And since AK is asking for at least 8-9 per year, 6 doesn't really make sense. I may be wrong, Locke can be confusing. (don't get me wrong, I really enjoy listening to him)

And if I were D-Will I would walk the moment my contract is up if this is all New Jersey can come up with.

The other guys said, 'So what, 6-7 a year?'

1st round would have been nice, but no one is going to trade a 1st rounder to overpay for an old 3 point shooter who can't D up.

I don't think this is necessarily true. I think it's possible we could've gotten a highly protected future first out of a team that was making a push to go deep in the playoffs this year. Memo could still be a valuable piece off the bench in the right situation. Having said that, this was absolutley the right move. Holding onto him in hopes of getting more value would have been risky, and we would have had to give him minutes that we just don't have right now.

Move probably won't happen this year. Next off season might be better.

This.

I don't expect the trade exception to be used this year, unless Utah comes across a deal that can't refuse. Utah should be in a fantastic position to take a huge step forward next year, and this adds yet one more possibilty. Jazz fans just need patience for one more season.

Serious quote via twitter from DesNews writer, Jody.....which is seriously a dude name now..

I know a guy named Kylie. And not it is not pronounced Kyle. To bad I want to run him over with my car.

In addition, if the Jazz were to dump Okur later in the season, I believe the TPE would be pro-rated subtracting the money the Jazz had already paid Okur for playing a portion of the season, lessening the value of the TPE.

In no way does this position us any differently for next year. Memo was gonna expire anyway.
