I've actually said nothing about Messina. I have no opinion.
Mostly good stuff I've heard but not enough to be passionate in the decision.

Spence Checketts has it on good authority that the Utah Jazz have now entered a bidding war with the Los Angeles Lakers for the services of Spurs assistant Jim Boylen. Currently the Lakers have the upper hand as a move to LA would help Boylen's budding rap career. His new single "Da 2 Utes" will hit shelves on Friday. I don't think we have to worry about Messina going to the Lakers. The Lakers will want to make a big splash and hire a well known coach in the United States, like stealing Popovich away from the Spurs, or Coach K, or Rick Pitino. They do everything "Hollywood" style so I doubt they'd go after a relatively unknown coach like Messina (despite his apparent coaching excellence). Just my opinion.

The thing thy have going for him, is that he was an assist coach a few years ago with them... So they know who he is.
