What's new

Milwakee broadcaster says what... (its about Rudy Gobert)

I was at the game.

Our defense on JJ was atrocious. And that was the difference.

Having said that Raul got the best of Paul in the first half and G had himself a good game. That foul which hurt Burks looked like it was dirty... From the upper bowl lol. The Jumbotron didn't show the replay. How bad did it look? And apparently h suffered a concussion and an ankle? Good. It looked like it could've been a wrist or a tailbone the way He landed.

Had Burks been able to return and/or anyone had remembered that JJ could shoot we would've won this game.

Really wish the Jazz wouldn't have traded for Burke... Thinking how we could've had Giannis makes me so sad. Stupid god damned Corbin. That stupid, stupid, poopy.

fwiw, I'd also draft Giannis over Rudy looking at it from where both currently are. Giannis is also 2 1/2 years younger.

DL is the GM. What makes you think he would have picked Giannis had he not picked and traded Shabazz Muhammad and Gorgui Dieng?

Yeah, I'd love to know the answer to that question. I think I remember Locke, or one of the other media guys, saying Gobert would have been the pick at 14, but who knows?

Agreed. People who look back and say the Jazz suck because they didn't pick so-and-so now that so-and-so is a star player just don't seem to have a firm grip on reality.

Disagreed.

Some picks are obvious yet many teams pass on them. Kawhi and Noah are two of the biggest head scratchers in draft history. GM's like to play it safe. You can't tell me that doesn't have an effect on the current draft model. There are very few GM's who take a chance (because those who have in the early 5 pick area tend to fail miserably and get fired over it).

We drafted Trey Lyles last year. What are the chances he is going to be anything even pedestrian? Not much. The Jazz could have taken a gamble on somebody with athletic upside, or they could have sold the pick. They did neither. DL took the standardized talking point route. BPA. And it will end up netting them nothing.

^I'll back Lyles. He'll have a career unless he's terribly lazy.

^This isn't an attempt to back Lindsey, though. I drifted from his corner after this offseason.

Anyone would take Antetokounmpo at this point after this season since his point is to redo the draft after whatever has been achieved until now, but who would have a more successful career is a question that the future will answer.

I was watching Milwakee game just now, the commentator whoever his name is, says this:

if the draft 2013 was redone, he would pick Giannis Antetokounmpo as #1 pick and Rudy as #2 pick.

what????

Quite a bit of homerism to think that taking anyone over Rudy at #1 is not debatable. (more homeristic than the Bucks announcer taking GA over RG). I'd take Rudy, but it is debatable.

I'll bet if you listened to sports radio and game announcers from other teams you could post 20 threads a day with perceived slights to Utah of one sort or another, especially if you consider this Milwaukee comment an insult. It's such a waste of time getting your undies in a bunch over comments that these sorts of guys make to opposing team fan bases.
