Now that the team is finally healthy it will be interesting to see what quin does with the minutes and rotations.

This is how i would like it to be in a close game without foul trouble and everyone playing well (of course blowouts, foul issues and poor play would vary the minutes from game to game but Im just looking at a hypothetical where everyone plays well without foul trouble in a close game).

Center position: Gobert gets 34 minutes. Favors get the remaining 14 minutes.
Power forward position: Favors gets 16 minutes. Lyles gets 25 minutes. JJ gets 7 minutes.
Small forward position: Hayward gets 35 minutes. ingles gets 13 minutes
Shooting guard position: Hood gets 28 minutes. Burks gets 20 minutes.
Point guard position: Hill gets 35 minutes. Mack gets 13 minutes.

Exum goes to the d league. Diaw gets groomed to be a coach and we use him more in a player/coach role.

Lyles has been coming on strong of late so he might need more minutes. Tough to find minutes for JJ. Maybe him and ingles have to split em up a bit but i feel that ingles has outplayed JJ.

Gonna be some tough decisions for quin. Good problem to have though and as long as hill, gobert and hayward are all healthy and playing a lot then i figure we will win plenty of games and finish in the 4th or 5th spot at worst. I think we win in round one of the playoffs and face goldens state in round 2 and lose 4-2 but give them a decent battle.

I really only want to see Hill for 30 minutes per game. Anything more seems excessive, unless it's looking like they're not going to be in striking distance when he's gonna come in to close the 4th, then you bring him in a lil early and get him a quick breather at somepoint..

Last night was a damn fine example of what he can do when coming in rested in the 4th..

I like where your heads at with the thread but I kinda think QS is gonna avoid something so rigid, I think he's already tipped his hand that he's gonna be going with who's hot.

I'd also put Burks in for 8 minutes at PG and cut Mack's to 5.

I think Burks and Ingles can find some minutes at the "PG". Time for more triple-wing. I'm a Mack Defender but I wouldn't be saddened to see him sit out some games because others were soaking up the minutes. He can get more minutes on B2Bs, blowouts, and particularly good matchups.

I agree that Hayward and Gobert are the only two players who should play more than 30 minutes on a nightly basis.

Diaw has been outplayed, but we need to keep him engaged and I think he has 2 or 3 more productive spurts in him this year. JJ and Diaw will spike all our intangibles as a team going into and through the playoffs.

Yea I'm hoping that Mack is the one to lose minutes to Burks. He's just not one of our 10 best players. Burks can play some PG and so can Ingles. Also I think Ingles is a better player than Burks and deserves more minutes than him. The rotation going forward is going to be interesting. It's nice having depth.

You still refuse to recognize Burks' PG skills? Soon enough you'll be a rat fleeing a sinking ship.

Your standards are consistent with a spoiled child. You get by using a severe lack of perspective

the **** are you talking about? time to re-read what I wrote. You're also riding coat-tails around here. Specifically mine. I've been calling for Burks at PG since the day he was darfted.

Ciao babe.

had to cycle back and LOL at this. Particularly funny hearing it from a dude who spends 99% of his time suckled up to his Mommy Television getting soothed.

I think 30 minutes is enough for Hill. Mack and Burks can handle the rest.
Lyles has to come down to 20 minutes and give the rest to JJ

Couple of things. When Favors is healthy, I'd like to see him and Rudy on the floor at the same time more than 16 minutes a game against some teams. That defensive duo is gonna be key come playoff time.

Other than that, I don't want a set rotation. Ride the hot hand. Gotta make the most of having such depth.

Gotta get Burks more minutes though. Not happy with what Quin has done so far with Alec.

I have doubts Joe Jingles can maintain his early season level of play and also think he is found out against the better teams in the league, AB will continue to build his minutes and "connectivity" with the group and be back in his 6th man spot by All Star break. With everyone healthy and our 2nd unit now consisting of Burks, Lyles, Favors, Hood/JJ/Ingles Id be tempted to throw Dante back into the mix... Either that or more triple wing ie; no more Shelvin Whack

I like how Minnesota found out about Joe Ingles' defense last night in crunch time.

Not that I regard the T-wolves as the type of players to keep a little black book on the rest of the league, a la Hayward.

As for Burks, I think he will get plenty of burn soon enough. His play is really just beginning to create the demand for minutes that most of his apologists insist should be automatic. I would much rather Snyder play him most when he is hot, and when he helps to create matchup problems with opposing wing combinations.

Excellent first post.

Maybe consider yanking Rodney if he's off ??? Leave him on for 40 mins the one game in 3 that he's shooting well and let Alec play more the other games.
Shorten Mack's leash considerably

I don't know what is different about Mack this year. But he isn't the pass first PG I enjoyed watching last year. It's like he jacks up shots just to get his. Out of rhythm of the team and the play.

Even if his shooting falls off some, He still does other things on the court that help the team without showing in the stats. He passes very well, he's a far better defender than people want to give him credit for, He's an irritant on the court for the other team, without being a huge distraction for his team(something I think is undervalued). He's also a good shooter. IMO I'd rather have a guy like Ingles, than a guy like Burks. Burks (granted it's been extremely limited) in his minutes this year has been a ball stopping black hole. The same guy we've seen his entire career. He's also a very poor defender, probably the worst of our regular rotation guys with the exception of Shelvin Mack.

Ingles is the perfect glue guy that can occasionally do a little more and when he catches fire it likely results in a win. I would not play Burks over him right now.

I'd love to steal some of diaws time and allocate it to Burks through playing 3 or 4 wings though. Diaw is killing us most nights... now that we are healthy and Lyles shooting has come back diaw needs to focus more on his coffee and photography.

How can anyone make a judgment about Burks this season in the scant minutes he has received -- black hole, wtf? Joe Johnson is a black hole, sure he can score but when he passes it's often a turnover. Burks didn't see the ball once last night and Quin should've put him in earlier. I wish he had given him some of the minutes he gave to Mack and Rodney, who had problems staying with his man. The only criticism about Burks this season that can be justified is that he's not getting any PT.

Total BS. I think burks has about the same many assists as shot attempts so far this year.
He didn't even touch the ball last night.
