Misheard lyric coverup conspiracy

I have a similar issue with some other songs too where I hear one lyric and see no way that the "official" lyric is what is really said. One great example is Blinded By The Light by Manfred Mann. How in the world is the lyric "wrapped up like a DEUCE" in this song? It is clearly a feminine hygiene product.

revved up like a deuce. Like "little deuce coupe" from the beach boys. Not "wrapped up like a douche" as some claim. A deuce has come to mean any two seat hot rod from back in the day.

Fun fact, this song was written by, and first recorded by, Bruce Springsteen. And that lyric was changed by Manfred Mann. It didn't originally say "revved up like a deuce". It said "cut loose like a deuce".

Probably the most famous example of all. We were so juvenile, lol:

Yeah my mom and dad got mad at me when they heard me listening to this song at maybe 8 years old in the 70's even, when I borrowed a record from a friend. Hilarious.

When I was a senior in high school our local oldies station was about to begin some sort of rebrand. I was in my "college prep" class, so named because the current principal objected to the previous name of the class Gifted & Talented saying that gifted and talented student don't go to Valley High, an alternative education High School that offered night and afternoon classes. Well, when we were just working on projects and such the teacher would play the oldies station on a radio. So, Louie Louie comes on, then it came on again, then it came on again at which point some of us started looking at each other like why are they playing this song over and over again? I think they did that, play Louie Louie on loop, for 72hrs or something. Then they announced whatever they were up to. Still the same spot on the dial and still an oldies station, only now they play songs that were popular when I was in HS :(

I believe all of my siblings had attended Valley at one point, sometime before all but one dropped out. Did anything become of Valley after they tore it down? Does it exist anywhere? I had a 20 year reunion last week (didn’t attend) and at some point I was wondering if Valley had reunions. Probably not.
