Mo won't save us

As bad as Watson and Tinsley are, we weren't much better with Motard. I seem to remember his chucking style not being great for team ball. Doesn't he take like 17 shots a game, early in the offense?

If he was backing up Burks it would be fine. But he is going to go in there and get 36 minutes a game. Maybe not for the first couple games, but it will get there soon enough. We will see a lot less of Burks. I guarantee it.

Mo coming back won't be good for nothing really, and its mostly Ty Corbins fault because he'll make sure we get an over dose of him, regardless of the results. This especially will be an issue because Al will be back soon too. Its all going back to the vets real soon here.

Mods, can you put automatic bump on this thread? Set it for about two weeks.

Thanks.

It's been set.

I don't think he has to be very good to be a huge improvement over Watson. Considering Watson is easily the worst starter in the NBA right now, even moving up to a top 25 pg vs say a top 60 pg is a huuuuuge upgrade.

We're better with Mo. He just needs to quit chucking but he spaces out the floor so much. The reason we didn't play well with Mo before was because that was the tougher portion of our schedule.

Mo will help the Jazz. He certainly won't make them worse. Whether he "saves" the team's playoff berth remains to be seen, but it'll be nice to have him back.

I feel like Mo is Foye with better handles. When Mo comes back, Foye should have his minutes reduced

Mo's going to shoot a lot, we know that. He will win us some games with his hot shooting and lose us some games with his cold shooting. My only gripe with him is his horrible shot selection, but in the games that he's hot it'll push us through.

We are better with Mo, IF, we are without Al.

If both play, it doesn't matter. We are mediocre bordering on crappy.

When Mo comes back we are not better off. Simply because Burks, Hayward and Carrolle are going to lose minutes to him. Can't have Foye or Marvin losing those minutes they are vets!

Exactly. Utah should have hovered right around .500 until mid-January and then taken off with all their home games through the end of February. I actually came up with a schedule for the Jazz winning 50 games and they were within ONE victory of that trajectory until the two losses on Feb 8/9. Of course, they've fallen off the cliff since then.

Mo ABSOLUTELY is better than Watson or Tinsley. Is he the long-term solution for Utah? No. Is he the answer for 2-3 more years until the Jazz can perhaps draft or trade for a young PG to develop? Maybe. And I think having him be the veteran in a starting lineup of Favors, Kanter, Hayward and burks would be very valuable.

If Corbin can allocate the minutes right when Mo comes back it is an easy improvement at PG. Mo isn't great, but he's better than Watson starting. I'm so sick of having Watson and Tinsely score 0 points for us on a somewhat consistent basis. Not to mention the terrible defense and ball handling. The Boston game still upsets me because of how bad Watson was.
