Climb aboard the Neto train! Two years ago most people were thinking he looked much better than Burke in Summer League. Now he is also much bigger than Burke. He could be a great backup for this season, and he looks like a possible NBA starter in the long term.

He was 6'2" in summer league 2 years ago and was 21. I'm not sure SF even knows who Raul Neto is after that comment.

Go to Google and type in Raul Neto height. It used to say 6'2", but now it says 6'4", so I assume he's grown. What else did I say that could possibly be up for debate?

I dont know how he good he is on D though. No idea if he can guard starting PG's well, or at all.

Well, he'd be our backup. Nobody knows what he can do in the NBA yet, but in the few games I've seen, i.e., ACB games, nationals last year, and Summer League, his defense has developed, IMHO.

Wow, has he grown? I had no idea he was this big. I was thinking of him as a Stockton prototype (in terms of both game and size). Maybe I was wrong. I loved the way he played in Summer League two years ago. At this size and with his playing style he would be a great addition to the team.

Google says he's grown, but it is hard to tell from watching ACb games, their camera angles make some of their 7'ers look like their 6'7" wings.

Tomic should be kicking himself because he's an idiot. Sure, he's a star, in a country that is barely bigger than California, in a sport that is ranked behind bullfighting in popularity. Money aside, the ACB is the second best basketball league in the world, but there is a huge difference between it and the NBA. It's like winning gold in the Special Olympics when you could be competing for a medal with the very best of the world. If that's his mindset, I'm glad he's not on our team. We don't need luke warm.

Id be fine with getting Cory Joseph. That's exactly the kind of low-key move that could pay off well. Still like Neto also.

I'm greedy. If Burke is going to be involved in a trade, I'd try to get both of them. I'm not concerned about how it affects Cotton or Hanlan. Hopefully those guys show enough to stick around, but the odds aren't great for them.

Unless he negotiated a buyout, and the 3 year deal with Barcelona was just to set his contract floor for the next 3 years. Makes sense to have that in his back pocket instead of counting on the Jazz making him an offer worth his while. Take the deal on hand, and then try to negotiate from a position of strength. Pretty sure that's how I'd have played it if it were me.
