27' Cavs pick top 5 protected and 9 for #6Can someone catch me up on what the trade from #9 to #6 was?
This. The ideal scenario is Walker, Hendricks, or Ausar drop. And then we can maneuver up for Wallace using 16.
Cam would be even more unlikely than those other three I think. But he'd be #1 out of the 4 for me on who I want.This.
Could cam be added to the list with those other 3? Or is he a certainty to be gone by 9?
Me too.Cam would be even more unlikely than those other three I think. But he'd be #1 out of the 4 for me on who I want.
From a Jazz standpoint, I think I would have preferred to have Keyonte and Dick at 16 and 9 vs who we traded up for (Ausar and Black).
Taking Dick at #9 considering who was available would have this place melting down. From a Jazz standpoint, I think I would have preferred to have Keyonte and Dick at 16 and 9 vs who we traded up for (Ausar and Black).
Boooooooo! No way. From a Jazz standpoint, I think I would have preferred to have Keyonte and Dick at 16 and 9 vs who we traded up for (Ausar and Black).

I mostly agree, but say the jazz want Ausar and he falls a bit. It wouldn’t take much to move from 9 to 6-7 to grab him. I don’t even think you need to trade 16 or 28The Jazz can stay where they are in the draft, take BPA and do pretty well. If I were the Jazz, I wouldn't trade up from 9 unless I know I'm getting Cam Whitmore or Jarace Walker, and that assumes the Jazz really think Walker is that guy. If Houston puts #4 on the market, I might make that move even if the price is high.
I still think it might be worth combining 16 and 28 to move up to 13 or 14 in order to secure one of the players in the late lottery the Jazz want, whether that's Bufkin, George, Bilal or Dick. I'm a believer in Bilal becoming like a third Thompson twin from this draft within a couple years, and I think both George and Bufkin could be impact players.
