Don't have any pics of meltdowns, but I have a nice video of when the Spurs players walk back into the locker room after the game, all with their face down. And I captured a few epic Popovich meltdowns during timeouts, he was really getting on Splitter and Bayne's case... just caught 'something something... that's BS, that's BS!', looking them right in the eye. I have to say the dude's scary at times.

Partly, yes, but in actuality I don't agree with what he's saying either. It's like if Donald Sterling had been and African American when he made those comments...it really doesn't make sense. However, because he was in a position of power, not just physical but historical, he was cast out of the league. You can't just stay in your own thick skin if you want to try and understand this.

I understand that words can hurt and that racism sucks.

Someone at Grantland wrote that Carroll is the best wing defender in the NBA. Kahwi is overrated. Unless you max him before the cap jumps. But Leonard is no Hayward.

I miss DMC. I'd be perfectly happy keeping Trevor Booker, adding DMC, bringing over Tomic and Neto and then drafting the best 2 players the Jazz can get in the draft. Then they can focus on adding Chip Engelland to help refine our players shots.

That's 13 spots and then add any of Hezonja, Porzingis, Cauley-Stein or Booker. Maybe bring over Pleiss as a 5th big, or trade him and the 2nd round pick for a late 1st. Maybe trade for a veteran PG if Dante doesn't make a big leap forward.

I get that this is a sports message board, and that the internet is full of bull **** that would offend me and those around me. However, this sports forum is something that we all frequent. I have more debates and conversations about the Jazz on here than I do my actual neighbors.
Obviously I haven't met people on this forum, and wouldn't call them friends in real life. I do however want to show respect to those here because we do frequent this website together.

Friday I predicted Burke would take about 40% of Kanter's shots - it looks more like 50%. This is not a long term solution - that's all.

I think racist language is a virus and the symptom is discrimination. Like a virus if you quarantine it you can keep it from infecting others.

Also I think I try to be fair and attack the language rather than the person.

I'm not if that's what you were wondering. Grew up in a good middle class Mormon family. Dad was a bishop, so was my brother, both brothers went in missions (one to uruguay and one to argentina)
Lived all over the salt lake valley, and in cedar city. Seattle for a few months.

I already knew you weren't a redneck, but your childhood is indicative of someone who would let racist remarks slide, because you're not invested at all either way. In theory, you might think racism is bad, but you're not in any hurry to do much. It's a common feeling by slightly educated middle class white Americans, who have grown up in a relatively safe and secure home structure. Also, the potential life-changing experiences that your brothers had probably didn't do much to change you. I assume you were the rebel of the family, who had experiences that allowed you to be more loosey-goosey. I'm just trying to understand how people can be so oblivious to being fine with forms of racism. I was just hoping that higher education would open up the problems with racism. That's why I was interested in your education.
