Not sure what I would do if I found something. My neighbor found some stuff in a cave, and relinquished his mineral claim to let the BLM administer the site. Some scientists came and did a report, but they omitted some factual aspects of the find, including fossilized regular sized horse bones, deemed incongruous with conventional science....
I don't consider an arrowhead worth picking up or carrying home.....
Even an apparent significant site.... not worth contacting stupid authorities.....
Most likely I would just walk on and say nothing.....
Even if it were an ancient Egyptian tomb....ha ha
