What's new

My Guess: Corbin is Re-signed

If the jazz make Corbin in charge of scouting and player personnel, we should expect us to draft a lot of underachieving seniors ... that is if we'd ever draft again. He'd likely advocate us selling all our picks for those skimpily clad, sexy vets.

Yeah, cuz when he advocated to get Trey Burke, Burke was an underachieving senior....

I think Lindsey and KOC want to try something new. This is the first time the Jazz have tanked in 10 years. They're excited about building a new team with a new identity. They wrote this season off a long time ago. Corbin is a vestige of the past.

Atleast he nows how to dress...

if you dress up a turd.

it still stinks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Jazz don't show that much loyalty to where they re-sign players who aren't good or part of the future. Some people may point to the Memo deal, but he was a good player we wanted to keep. The loyalty played a factor into how much he was paid, but it wasn't why we kept him.

This ain't LHM's jazz anymore.
Greggy runs things differently.
And DL has control of this team now....at least he better. If he really does, Ty is gone.

In this case, I think a few things are different: the Jazz' GM did NOT hire Corbin; KOC did. Generally GM's are given a chance to hire who they want. Dennis also won the war over how to rebuild (vs. the "reboot" and try to stay competitive approach of KOC). That tells me the Millers have placed a lot of faith in Lindsey. Dennis also PUBLICLY set some standards against which Ty would be measured. What GM does something like that? And those standards - improving defensively - have clearly not been met as the Jazz are 30th in the league. I just can't see a scenario under which Ty returns.

My view, nearly precisely. I'd put the likelihood of Ty's return at 15%.

I don't see it Jason. The expiring contract works into the Miller's favor so it won't be messy. They will ultimately do whatever Dennis Lindsey says, Greg Miller has said more than once he doesn't interfere with general managerial duties.

I hope so, honestly. A lot of good posts in here to make me feel better for sure.

Based on this though... Jazz beat LA in the final game too.

With this horrible season and an empty arena, the Jazz's hand will be forced.
