My personal Best Buy discussion

So long as this hazing of Burks doesn't have the same negative affect as Al's did on Kanter.
Otherwise, Mo needs to keep his Onus to himself.

"hazing Burks" = Mo calling out Favors? If the answer is 'yes', I think the difference between hazing and giving someone responsibility for their talent and the team's success is quite pronounced. It's always difficult to know how Al affected Kanter since threre was a lot in Kanter's first year that could have taken him out of his comfort zone and contributed to his tentative play--and this includes limited playing time and his Coach.

Your sarcasm detector must be hitting the snooze button this morning.

It was merely a joke about Mo putting his Onus on Favors..

Thanks for the info...

The least likely part of this whole story is the apparent certainty that Marvin will come off the bench. What's the worst thing an organization can do to a recently acquired player who has historically underperformed? Answer: give him clear signs before camp that he'll be a benchie. The FO has everything to gain by Marvin coming in hungry and looking to prove something.

Also, I'm shocked nobody has made too much of the Mo-Fav chemistry as another surefire sign that Favs is starting.

Still trying to learn when to take things somewhat seriously and when not to on here, but yes Favors needs to start.

Well you failed. You are one of the best posters here and need to land that joke. Our success as a message board depends on you landing those jokes and not goofing off. Get it together PKM.

He did well with the response. I can visualize my sarcasm detector (robotized mechanism) reaching over and hitting snooze because of too much oil and tonic the night before. But you bring up a good point; does the proverbial comedian "goof off" when he lands the joke, or does he achieve a level of somber competence brought on by his effectiveness while properly executing the joke. Furthermore, how much of the "onus" can we put on the executor of the joke when the interpreter of the frivolity assumes the responsibility for comprehending the executor's prodigious whit. In short, Jazzfanz must answer the call and cultivate the very essence of intellectual gaiety within its bosom and mind. That, my stoked friend, is what holds the eudaimonia of "our message board" in its hands--not the usurpation of our agency.
